Pros: Good location, not too small/not too large, not too much frou-frou, great neighborhood for walking, both a formal and an informal restaurant on the property, rockers on the porches.

Cons: 30-minute wait for check in because phone had not been forwarded, so-so breakfast with good-enough muffins but quite unripe fruit; dirty coffee cup was quickly replaced.

Room Tip: The Aiken room is nicely decorated. This room is not one of the ones with a river view. The "hand-held shower" in the bathtub is not functional as a shower because the walls and floor are wood.

A great place stay - first time in Texas travelling from Dallas to San Antonio. Will was a friendly and fun host. Accommodation of the highest standard and a great breakfast.
Good restaurant and good alternatives near by.

We spent our 27th Anniversary at Inn on the Creek. Everything was above and beyond what we expected. We felt as though we were a million miles away , when we were really only 15 miles from home. Most relaxing and romantic trip we have had in a while . Will and his staff go out of their way to make you feel as though you are the only guests. Our dinner and breakfast were amazing. The service was great. Met new friends at Alexanders to top off a great evening. Great place.. Can't wait to go back.! OH AND THE HOT TUB ALL TO OURSELF WAS THE BEST!

My wife and I recently revisited the romantic location of our marriage, some 10 years earlier. We had the "fine dining" experience for New Year's Eve and it was truly "fine"! A 4 course meal with good wines all the way along! And the accommodations? Also fabulous, of course! If you're in Central Texas with a weekend to spare, you've got to try the Inn on the Creek in Salado!

This was an excellent choice for our little getaway trip. Will and his staff are amazing! Our expectations were surpassed. The chef is exceptional. We pre-ordered a picnic basket, but this was so much more with great ambiance set near the creek side. We have our neighbor to thank for this wonderful and relaxing atmosphere for giving us the name of this B&B. The sheets are so luxurious that we will be ordering them for Christmas. We will definitely be back and I have let many of my friends know already what a wonderful time we had here.

Thank you, B&W, Keller, TX

Room Tip: We stayed in the Fowler room which overlooked the hammocks and you could see the creek. In the early morning we saw deer running in the grass out our window.
