The weather was just right, about 75 degrees, outside under the big trees. The place was packed so service was ? but the beer was cold and when we got it, the pizza was excellent. But what was the great suprise was a local band called "The Black Cat Choir". They were probably the best cover band I have ever heard. Their lead singer was incredible. I would certainly recommend a trip the The Stone Cellar, and if I could I would schedule it when the Black Cat Choir is playing.

We went here after shopping, we usually do Los Patrons which is awesome. It took 2 hours to get our pizza and a salad which was suppose to come out before. We finally called the manager down. We were sitting down stairs in the cellar. He told us after asking he did not have to put up with our crap, but he used the other word. Then a friend of his was with him as well, my friend stood up to ask a question as the manager was leaving. His friend grabbed her by the neck and chocked her threw her back on the table. Needless to say she was assulted another table saw the whole thing and we called the cops. then come to find out the other guy was not an employee just a friend of the managers. He took off no where to be found. We were shocked and very disturbed as well. I would never step foot in this place again

Not the best pizza in the world, but perfectly acceptable, and a good wine selection. The town itself is adorable.

We stopped in Round Top and were planning on going to the Stone Cellar. We weren't sure if it was open yet. We arrived there at about 10:50am. Asked restaurant staff when they opened they curtly replied 11:00AM. We enjoyed browsing at a few shops and then went back to the restaurant about 10 minutes after 11:00. I was told by the "rude" staff they were not open yet.
We promptly left and went to eat at Royers. We received great service and food.
It is a shame that the staff of this establishment do not know how to welcome people to their restaurant. This place is the exception to this great town. All of the other places of business have very friendly owners.

The day we arrived in Round Top we planned to over stuff ourselves at Royer's but found it to be closed. Instead, we ventured over to the Stone Cellar; we are very happy we did. We split a Margarita Pizza and each had a beer. The drink selection is vast and the pizza was delicious. We fell in love with the atmosphere and the historic building. While yes, you order at the bar and food is served with paper plates we thought it was top notch. Honestly, this is a little bitty bar in little bitty town they are trying to accommodate the largest number of people with what they have. We appreciated the simplicity and the friendly staff. Totally worth it!
