We recently stayed here for a weekend getaway. It was a great, relaxing stay!
We arrived around noon for an early check-in. We were sent to a beautiful room, but it didn't have the lake view that I had requested. When I called the desk to let them know, they apologized and called me back within a few minutes and upgraded us to a suite.
The suite was roomy and gorgeous! It also had double the lake views with balconies in both the bedroom and living area. The only thing that could have made it better was if the balconies had chairs to sit and enjoy the view. The room had a huge bathroom (actually 1 1/2 baths) with lighted makeup mirrors, a jetted tub, and a separate shower.

We spent most of our time at the lovely pool - plenty of comfortable chairs and loungers and towels provided at each (and more on the racks). There was also a poolside bar where you could go get a drink (and occassionally a server would be seen coming to the pool). I also saw a lot of room service orders being delivered to the pool.
The hotel had free wi-fi (great for checking e-mail by the pool), a great fitness room, Starbucks, and also a bar and restaurant that were beautiful, but we did not try.

A few steps away from the pool is Lake Ray Hubbard. The lake was pretty and the area was great for roaming around and enjoying it. There is a nice catamaran that sails (sailwithscott.com) back and forth across the lake. We didn't do it, but they had sunset sails, brunch sails, etc. It looked like fun. Also a few steps away was an amphitheater that seems well used. There was a concert the Saturday night that we were there. Lots of people listening to music from their lawn chairs or blankets having a picnic or some wine.
We walked to Blue Canyon for Sunday brunch. It was good, but not great. Gloria's also looked really good. We will try there next time. These places and many shops and a Cinemark theater were all within the same complex - walking distance.

Only a couple minutes away were so many other restaurants (we enjoyed pizza and salads at Palio's - really yummy!!) and stores (Target, Walgreen's & more) too. It is a really convenient location.

We definitely would return to this hotel!

This is a wonderful place to stay for any occsaions, business or leisure. Hotel is wonderful, service great, area around hotel is fantastic for things to do. Lake Hubbard is great and there are open air concerts weekly as well. This is a great place to stay while in the Dallas area. You will not be disappointed.

We just spent Easter weekend at the new Hilton Bella Harbor on Lake Ray Hubbard which is on the east side of the lake. The hotel is very new and looks like a fancy 4 1/2 star resort regarding furnishings and fabrics. Our room was modern in the elegant, sophisticated way. Spend the extra for the waterview and you will be rewarded with a GREAT view of the lake and the sunset. The rooms are typical Hilton with 1 or 2 beds, reading chair/ lamp and a desk and office chair. The lighting is good and the TV was great. We especially liked the empty refrigerator to hold our drinks. The bathroom is not large but the towels are soft and the fixtures are high end with a bowed shower curtain to give the shower that larger feel. Our room had 2 fluffy robes that were nice for lounging.
The insulation seemed good since we never heard any of our neighbors.

The hotel is part of a new development that features 6 or 7 restaurants, shops and a Cinemark theater complex. You can walk to all of it in 2-4 minutes from the hotel. We had dinner at Blue Canyon which has patio seating to enjoy the sunset. Happy hour is 4-7. We charged our dinner to our Hilton bill and the restaurant even took 10% off the food portion. I have never seen so much food on a kids' meal for $4.99. (Our kids had a bowl of fruit, 3 large hand made chicken tenders, fabulous fries, a choice of veggie, choice of dessert and a drink.) The quality of the food was very good at reasonable prices.

If you need more to do over the weekend, there are several new shopping areas nearby. Plus we saw a Chuck E. Cheese up on Hwy I-30 just 5 minutes away. We also drove to the other side of the lake to check out the new Bass Pro Shop. We understand in the summer there is a farmers market in downtown Rockwall on Sat mornings. There is also a large boat that sails from this Bella Harbor complex. You can go on a sunset cruise or do a Sunday brunch cruise.

The hotel pool was nice. It has plenty of lounge chairs and offers a view of the lake also. Our kids enjoyed the shallow end while the older kids and adults were on the other end where the jacuzzi is. It is a great place to read a book or have a nice conversation. There is a 24 hour fitness room if you are so inclined. The public areas of the hotel match the rooms with a high end decor that is comfortable at the same time. There is a nice bar with a waterview and some outdoor seating. Our kids loved the water feature in the lobby. It distracted them for 5 minutes while we checked in.

The staff is very friendly and seem to be well trained and genuinely caring. It must be that Texas Southern hospitality shining through.

Our bill was in order so checkout was a breeze.

We have stayed at several of the new hotels in the Dallas area and this one seemed special. We plan to go back this summer and explore the area even more. The rates are much better than some of the new Grapevine hotels and the view of the lake is so peaceful and beautiful.

Just returned (12-29-2008) from a great week-end at the Hilton Rockwall. My husband and I had a great relaxing week-end. This hotel is new and all areas were spotlessly clean.
The staff was courteous and friendly and the room rates are excellent for this type of facility.
The mattress was a bit soft, we prefer a firmer one but that did not diminish our enjoyment.

If you are looking for a weekend getaway spot, this is the perfect spot!
Location...right on the lake, our room had a balcony overlooking the pool and lake..really pretty.... lovely to walk around the Harbour development at night, eat on restaurant patios, get dessert at Rocky Mountain Choc Factory or Cold Stone Creamery, catch a movie at the Cinemark on property...without driving anywhere!
Hotel itself- great pool (they do need a few more pool chairs though), beautiful "modern elegant" decor throughout, very helpful staff...
Room- My husband and I have traveled all over the world and this truly was one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in, especially for this price. Very well decorated, comfy beds...very well done.
We live in Rowlett which is 10 minutes from Rockwall, so this was a "staycation" over Labor Day...but we felt like we were on a resort somewhere far away! Even if you live in the area, come here for a weekend to relax and get away!

This is Hotel Hell in all honesty. Stay away at all costs! You've been forewarned. After determining that the pillows were flat as pancakes, we called the front desk at 11pm to get fiberfill pillows that perhaps were fuller. After one hour, no pillows, so I went to the front desk. I was told that they were looking for some in housekeeping. Fast forward one hour...still no pillows. At 1am, my wife and I had not gotten one wink of sleep and a wedding party broke up and all the twenty something drunks began running up and down the hallways, screaming and laughing. At 1:30am, I went down to the front desk and asked where the security was. A pimply-faced twenty something emerged and told me there was nothing he could do about the mayhem. At that point, approximately 50-100 drunken rowdy kids filled the lobby and hallways, At 2am, my wife and I tossed them the room keys and left. On top of all that, the hotel restaurant was lousy and way overpriced. Our dinner was $120 and I would rank it far below Outback Steakhouse. The pool area and hot tub was filled with screaming kids running around chasing each other and doing cannonballs in guests faces. Folks, this aint the resort you're looking for. Hotel Hell is an accurate description. Avoid this one.
