Three other Motorcycle Guys and myself stayed at The Rocksprings Hotel March 11, 2012. What an enjoyable experience! We were Headed down To Big Bend for the week. Debra is an amazing kind and friendly owner lady. Her facility is really neat/clean and well restored. It is across the street from a county court house that is 120 years old this year. As avid Hill Country riders, this is a great, neat, quaint place

Both the hotel and the owner. Wasn't sure what to expect as we were riding into town, but once inside, I knew this would be a great stay.

Debra was a wonderful host; almost like visiting friends. The room was comfortable and clean. And I thought the value for what you get in hospitality was worth every cent.

Can't wait to visit here again with my wife, as she is always looking for places like this to stay on our trips. Thanks for making us feel like old friends.

My family has hunting property in the Rocksprings area but this was my first experience at the Rocksprings Historic Hotel. Debra (owner) was fantastic and has great courage to boot in dealing with small town politics. The hotel continues to undergo restoration but my overall experience was simply outstanding: great bed, great historic setting, great rate, plenty of hot (very) water, great coffee, and Dixie's pecan pie is the BEST I've ever had (plus she played the bagpipes in the late morning -- super). This is not your typical hotel -- but lots of fun (and got to use a real key...:)!

Went there on a weekend birdwatching trip in early July with about 16 other Texas Ornithological Society members. What a nice place to stay - very clean and with lots of personality. Plenty of room to socialize in and outside. Shared a hollywood style 2 bedroom with a friend- shared toilet and bath, but we had separate sinks in our rooms.
My share for the two nights lodging was $75 which I felt was very fair. The owner even put out two homemade pies- cherry and apple- for us to enjoy.

There is enough to do to fill a weekend in the Rocksprings area with Kickapoo Caverns and the Devil's Sinkhole very close by. Devil's Sinkhole has a very nice bat flight, and Kickapoo Caverns is very birdy.

The only trick is what to do for breakfast, since it is not provided. Some of us brought our own breakfasts to eat in our rooms, but the owner allowed us to spread out breakfast foods downstairs, and kept a pot of coffee and hot water available.

If small towns are your thing, definitely visit Rocksprings.

We spent one night at the Historic Rocksprings Hotel, and were very pleased with the accomodations. The owner led us on a personal tour of the hotel, which including viewing quite a few rooms. Some of the rooms were filled with elegant antiques. We had a very quiet, comfortable room, which had been renovated earlier in the year. More rooms will be undergoing renovation, after the new year. Plans have already been made to renovate the veranda, also. We can't wait to return and spend more time, and learn more of the history of the hotel. The owners were on premise, very cordial, interesting, and accomodating.
