“Great Texas Maritime Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

This is a great museum, featuring artifacts and displays about the 1684 LaBelle, flag ship of the LaSalle expedition, Gulf Coast boat building, Texas lighthouses, offshore oil exploration and production, and commercial and sport fishing. Lots to see for the whole family. Be sure to go up to the tower for a great view of the area. Nice gift shop as you enter the building. I was also told that the museum now shows classic movies with a "sea tales" theme on some evenings.

“Educational and very interesting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

Educational and very interesting, there are 3 floors this place, it nice to see all the stuff the bought up from a sunk ship. A little warning for people that can gross out easily, one of the movie they shown include a skeleton they found in the wreckage, do not watch the process they drain the brain matter out, because both of the kids 10 & 12 were very gross out by it.
