This is the second time we have stayed at the Lighthouse Inn and I love it. The bar is great and the service is excellent. Unfortunately, I found some pieces of egg shells and a dead bug on the floor in our room. This isn't great at all, but especially when you travel with small children.

This is in a great location right on the bay. We had a warm welcome, very comfortable room, pleasant dinner, then relaxed nightcaps in the bar with friendly strangers! Great ambience: a memorable experience.

My wife, sister, and I recently spent two nights at the Lighthouse Inn. I was disappointed with the Inn. First, my Sister requested a ground floor room several months before we were scheduled to be there. When she arrived she was told her room was on the third floor. Fortunately the person at the desk shifted a person to the 3rd floor and gave her a ground floor room. Our room was tiny. There was one chair that had to face the wall because of the lack of space, thus the windwo view could not be used. The balcony also was tiny--although it offered a very pleasant view of the harbor and further out the bay.

The breakfast was rather limited. There was only one kind of bread, no pastries--only waffles that were somewhat tough, one type of tea (none that was decaf), and very limited seating by mid-morning.

We did not use the pool or spa but they seemed to be the best part of the Inn.

We stayed over the Spring Break weekend and loved the relaxing environment and the rooms. Our six year-old had a blast at the nearby beach. She also had so much fun fishing on the property pier. The staff was attentive, and the location perfect! A must-do for a relaxing family break! Will definitely be back soon.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this wonderful review about your stay. I am pleased that your daughter had a great time at the beach and the hotel. Many of the children who stay here catch their “first fish ever” from our pier. We also appreciate the comments about the staff. We all forward to your return visit.

We stayed here for our anniversary in March and the hotel exudes a charm from bygone days with a wonderful view of the bay, a lovely landscaped pool, and an easy way into Fulton. The central commons area serves as a lively breakfast (included) area, quiet retreat in the afternoon, meeting place and bar in the evening.

Room Tip: The bay view is outstanding! The pool view is more sheltered and social.

Without making reservations we had seen the Lighthouse Inn on the Web. We decided to drive tthru Rockport on our way to Port Aransas and decided to stay for the night. The clerk was kind enough to allows us to look around. The place was quaint like a Victorian style hotel, but a little pricey. The room although small was sufficient for my daughter and myself. Upon entering the room it had a musty smell and the carpet was damp due to the air conditioner leaking. The pillows were to soft and in the middle of the night called the night clerk to ask for more pillows and to inform them that the air conditioner was leaking and the room was getting quite warm. The desk clerk was nice and brought extra pillows. The next mornning I complained to the front desk and they had us change rooms, due to the air not functioning well, and the carpet being wet.

The staff was very nice, but the exterior of the hotel was a little unkept. I know this was the end of the busy season. The grounds were unkept, there was thrash and cups laying aroound and the glass on the doors was dirty and had finger prints on them. The front entrance needed a little cleaning as well. The breakfast was excellent and plenty of it, and if you were a little late they would still allow to take some in containers. Rockport is a small town and we felt very safe, even took long walks at night. I would recommend the food from the restaurant in the hotel, the best shrimp ever and very reasonable. We stayed for two nights and had a good time.

Room Tip: Would recommend a room by the Bay to watch the sunrise and sunset.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review about your recent stay. I must apologize for the air conditioner malfunctioning during your stay. I am glad we were able to put you in a different room. The high winds we have had lately combined with Spring Break crowds kept us hopping. The staff was picking up trash and cleaning windows regularly but obviously still fell behind. We always try to keep the hotel and grounds looking good and litter free. We can and will improve in these area. I do hope that when you return to Rockport you will come and stay with us again.

What a great stay we had at the Lighthouse Inn. The staff was very courtious! Couldnt of asked for a nicer place to stay. The view is to die for, and loved hanging out on the porch in the swings. Would definately recommend this place for couples and Families. Oh and they have the best pillows!
