“Afterglow”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

We've been coming here since the restaurant opened and have weathered their AC problems, waitstaff/food shortages, and yet we still make a point of coming at least one night when we are in Rockport. The food is always local and fresh, the menu ever changing and never disappoints. This cosy place is a quiet respite from the other noisy, busy places in town and I highly recommend. We had an event catered by Karey, the chef/owner, and her attention to detail is what makes this place special. She tries very hard. If the food that arrives doesn't meet your expectations-- let her know. She is more than happy to remedy. Also, don't come if you are in a rush. Take your time and enjoy the meal and your dinner mates. Bread pudding is sublime.

“Another creative, lovely meal”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

We had another great meal at Glow last night. We can always count on fresh, excellent ingredients and creative cuisine. Last night we dined on the tomatoes and arugula (with a little blue cheese ... and the tomatoes tasted like somebody grew them in their back yard); eggplant with mint and chile; roast poblano mac & cheese; grilled lamb skewers with cucumber vinagrette; and bread pudding with bruleed bananas (as in the crusty sweet layer at the top of a creme brulee). Oh yes, and a nice mahi mahi dish. Refined, simple decor. Sophisticated and well thought-out wine list. The cheerful and accommodating waitstaff and of course Glow's wonderful chef and owner Karey always make us feel happy to be dining at Glow.

“Great food!”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

This place is small although they are adding on for more space. Food was great and creative . Waitstaff was nice and pleasant. This is a nice upscale place for the area. My new favorite place in the Fulton- Rockport area. A reservation is suggested.

“Disappointing in the extreme”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

We visited Glow on a Friday evening after having read "glowing" reviews. Our experience was most disappointing. Although the restaurant is cute, the service was extraordinarily slow and unwelcoming. Because we did not have a reservation, we were made to feel that they were doing us a favor by letting us into their nearly empty restaurant. Once seated, I ordered a tomato salad, expecting a stuffed tomato of some sort. What I got was a tiny (really, really tiny) bowl of plain lettuce with a half a cherry tomato. It cost $6. My husband ordered a green salad after I had already received my "tomato" salad, primarily to fill the 45 minutes we spent waiting for our entrees. He was told that they didn't have a green salad on the menu, to which my husband asked what the "green stuff" in MY salad bowl was. The waiter then conceded that they could bring my husband a salad. What he received was a tiny, tiny bowl of plain lettuce - just like mine - but MINUS the half cherry tomato. His cost $8...$2 more than mine. When our expensive entrees finally arrived, they were so overcooked they were inedible. I could have used my sweet potato fries as nails. Our fish was indifferent and the "crab cakes" were an unpalatable mixture of about 25% crab and 75% ground shrimp. Not a happy combination. The experience was expensive, and while we don't minding paying for good food, this food definitely was not good. We will not be returning and will not recommend the restaurant to others.

“Cozy”

Great food and service. Makes a real good cocktail. Homemade bread was great and forth coming. As with most restaurants these days the menu is heavy on the spicy.
