I got to watch a beautiful full moon rising over Aransas Bay from this place last year. However the food was reminiscent of a Golden Corral chain restaurant. Your experience may vary, depending on whether you visit during high tourist season or not. I understand some like the food here. From my visit, I would have to rate it average.

If you like soft shell crab, you will love Charlotte Plummer's. They use a batter that has cornmeal and it's delicious. There is a large all you can eat salad bar and the french fries are also out of this world. We like to sit at one of the tables overlooking the water.

Food is average, dessert is fabulous, salad bar is what were they thinking. From what we saw and read about other places to eat this was our first choice. The rest of the time we ate what we brought with us and had salad at our hotel

The grilled fish all 3 of us had was fresh and cooked well, but as another reviewer mentioned the food is not seasoned well.

I had a side of "pico de crab" with my meal, and while it was a large serving, with quite a bit of crab, it was nothing like pico de gallo. It was mostly diced tomatoes with crab and a little diced onion, no jalapeno or cilantro or even lime. The steamed vegetables were plain steamed vegetables, no seasoning. The salad bar seemed like it had fresh items on it, and the soup of the day (tortilla soup) as good and was actually seasoned!

We sat inside - the tables were very close together, and the temperature of the room was warm... we could see our waiter sweating quite heavily.

Not a terrible experience overall, just kind of "meh".
