The Rockport beach is very nice. It's clean and not so crowded. It's excellent for little ones since it's not deep

Very nice and chill beach. Waters were very calm. I would've given it a five star rating for being the perfect beach for families with small children, but the water is filled with too many jellyfish! My kids, age 11 and 13, were disappointed that they could not boogie board, so after my daughter was stung by a jellyfish we packed up and spent the rest of the afternoon in Port A.

It's a good place for smaller kids since the waves are very very small, Jellyfish galore though! And the Seagulls will practically steal your food from the grill! Please be warned!

Well, I was skeptical at first. But, it was a very nice little beach!!!! It's very spread out so it's not too crowded. The waves are not over powering so you are able to wade and relax. The beach is SO clean! I'll tell you right now: I really wanted to boogie board so we drove all the way over to Port Aransas beach (on the gulf). The beach was nice, but not as nice as Rockport Beach (on the bay). The waves were bigger, but the beach had seaweed all over it so it just seemed more grungy :)

The shore and water were chalked full of jellyfish. We tried to swim, but we were stung. :( Next year we will go to Port A!
