“couples Date Night dinner”
Reviewed June 26, 2012

We had dinner here with another couple. The food was fantastic. We had the appetizer selection plate (picked 3) as well as the dessert selection plate. entree was great too but definitely the appetizers and desserts made the night. Expensive, but low key environment. Great dinner place for a special occasion.

“Another Great Dining Experience”
Reviewed June 26, 2012

Went there last Saturday night for a "date night". Have been there many times before, and once again it was a great experience. From the time you are warmly greeted at the front door, to the the servers, to one of the partners, to perhaps even Chef Charles coming by to say hi, you really feel comfortable and welcome. The food is great, much of it locally sourced (some of the produce from their own garden), and the wine list is extensive and fairly priced. This time we sat in the "bar area" and enjoyed a wonderful singer/guitar player.
Can't wait to go back again.

“Almost, almost perfect....”
Reviewed June 20, 2012

This was our third visit, we appreciate the care they take with the food, the presentation and their guests.

I started with a wonderfully apply dessert wine and I really appreciate restaurants that have dessert wines by the glass.

I was also very thankful for the line caught tuna - which is hard to find as well as their attention to locally sourced ingredients - including several soups made from their own garden (Delicious).

The only thing that marred our visit was a $2 charge for horseradish to go with our steak. Given we spent over $200 for two you would have thought horseradish would be included. And the worst part was that our server never told us when we ordered that it would be $2 (we would have gladly paid for it)... and when it came, it was flat. We asked our server to check and he came back and told us all of the horseradish had gone flat. So, they charged us $2 for something they didn't warn us about and something they admitted had gone flat (no spice at all, just vinegar). Nonetheless, they then forgot to put our $65 bottle of wine on the bill, so I called it to their attention. You would have thought that was the opportunity to thank me by removing the $2 charge for something that wasn't up to snuff.

“Wonderful place”
Reviewed June 16, 2012 via mobile

I'll echo what was previous said. Don't be fooled by appearance out front. This is a very classy place with great food and service. Some of the produce is from their garden. Everything we had was very tasty. Loved the Cajun trio that was the special of the night. Make reservations if you are going there on a weekend.

“Excellent food, great service, pleasant atmosphere; highly recommend it to anyone wanting an upscale dining experience”
Reviewed May 29, 2012

We have been fans of Classic Cafe for over 15 years and love it. We have had retirement parties there, taken friends, taken cooking classes and have never been disappointed. This is my favorite restaurant and we eat out about 6 times a week.
