“Adorable but not handicap accessible”

Magical atmosphere...with Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory playing on the giant TV's. Cleverly done and a sweet little spot for everyone. Lots of vintage brands that will spark memories for the older generations. Sadly, prices reflect Roanoke's newfound fame. Keep a keen eye on your little people. Watched an exasperated mom trying to corral a small person. Not a good place for impulsive little ones who "look with their hands"...everything is right at their height and ripe for the picking. On the flip side, a great place to teach those children some old fashioned self control.
If Root Beer or any other flavored sodas are what you are looking for, they will definitely have it. They have chocolate covered bacon. Enough said. Great curb appeal with fun colorful seating out front and large gazebo for parties out back. One block off 377 with very limited parking. Handicap ramp is awesome, but there is no way a wheelchair would fit inside. Only thing keeping this from being and Excellent rating is the pricing and only the appearance of being handicap accessible.

I was blown away by their love of rootbeer. I would have to classify it as a rootbeer library with wee over 200 varieties and brands. What amazed me more was their ice cream that is made on site. Taste it first to make sure you get your favorite. I wanted to get the Jack and Coke Ice Cream with, yes Jack Daniels and Coke but I was flying an aircraft in 30 minutes and didn't want my breath to smell like alcohol. Recommended Stop

My hubby loves specialty root beers. This is the place to go. They must have 20-30 varieties.

Ice cream is made up the road in Denton.

Candy, candy, candy. If I'd been here as a child, I would've thought I'd died & gone to heaven.

Great atmosphere & a whole lot of memories.

An adorable restored little home on the main drag on Roanoke. An ideal spot to stop with the kids for a treat or after dinner. Decorated with whimsical flair and offering a variety of retro sodas and candy, popcorn, chocolates, gummis, and Ice cream! The owner is super helpful and a pleasure to talk with -- along with most her staff! It's definitely worth a trip! One word of caution: it's not cheap -- at least a few dollars for a sweet treat.

Old fashioned "penny" candies, new candies, popcorn, off-mainstream bottled soft drinks, chocolates and Denton's Beth Marie ice cream - cup or waffle cone. Friendly service. Outdoor and front porch tables and chairs, electric horsey.
