My visit to Del's was one of the standout and most unexpected joys of my last trip to Texas.

Firstly, the place was packed out. Its small and I went at rush hour but I can categorically state that it was worth the wait. The BBQ burger was a treat and the rootbeer was out of this world!!

Definitely recommend a visit to this hidden gem!!

This restaurant has been in Richardson for almost 50 years. It is definitely a hole-in-the-wall so you don't go for the decor. What you do go for is the charcoal flame-broiled burgers, handcut fries, and old fashion frosted mugs of rootbeer. The lines are long between 11 and 1 but they are now open until 9:00 p.m. in the evening. Average price of a meal with drink: $7.50. There is even a small outdoor table area for smokers. Try it - you'll like it!

Casual hole-in-the-wall that's been in business for a looooooong time. Great spot for flavorful burgers and homemade rootbeer.

Del's is another local hidden gem. It's been at it's current location for 50 years and is always packed at lunch time. They recently extended hours to include dinner on the weekends.

The burgers (as the name suggests) are charcoal grilled, and this truly adds to the flavor. The menu consists of standard burger joint fare - burgers, cheeseburgers, and hot dogs. They have a home-made root beer that is absolutely delicious!
