Cappuccino had been a Dallas standard bearer for many years at their previous location. I rediscovered them at their present site about 3 years ago when I was visiting friends who lived close to the Coit & Campbell area. Since that time, they have again become one of our reliable dining/entertainment places and despite the diversity of our parties, nearly everyone has been enthusiastic about repeating the experience. From a satisfying rendition of lobster bisque or smoked salmon appetizers to execution of all the northern Italian classics (which tend to be a somewhat lighter version than the southern Italian style) food has always been fresh and expertly prepared and presented. Service is always hospitable and professional. Even if you need a doggie bag, save room for dessert and perhaps one of their exotic after dinner drinks!

The service is consistently smooth, the food well-prepared, and the staff exceptionally friendly. Going to dinner at Cappuccino is like having dinner at a friend's house!

This is not a special Italian restaurant. It is just okay. Our experience with good and great Italian restaurants is from our dining in Italy and The Hill in St. Louis. There are a couple of things that do shine in this restaurant. One is the friendly service. Secondly the tiramisu was very, very good. We dined with family here, but I doubt we would dine here again. Actually the cappuccino they make at this restaurant is very decent. My wife and I are foodies so that may perhaps color our opinion of this restaurant. The diners appeared to be mostly of advanced age.

We had eaten here for the first time last December and had a lovely meal. For some reason, we just never returned. While considering several options for a "date" night, I looked on tripadvisor and saw how highly rated this place is. So we returned. Why did we wait so long??? The food was excellent (you can split the Cappuccino salad -- very good) and the warm bread (two types) are fresh and appetizing. Our server was nice and made sure everything came out at a good, relaxed pace. We didn't save room for dessert, so that's one think I cannot comment on. However, we have loaded this place into memory now and will definitely come back!
