I ate here twice while in Presidio on business. The sandwiches were very good and the service was quick and friendly. Given that there are only three places to eat in the whole town, it was nice to find that at least one is above average. The only complaints were that the temperature inside was barely tolerable, and there were flies buzzing around on both visits.

“Great breakfast, atmosphere”
Reviewed July 13, 2012

We stopped at this little place in Presidio, hoping to get a decent breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and friendliness we got. We were a group of 5; 3 adults and 2 kids. The coffee was very good, hot and bold enough to get the day off to a good start. I ordered the special of the day, "DIvorced eggs" which is two eggs with a different sauce on each one. One was pretty hot, the other milder but both delicious. You get one large homemade flour tortilla with this, as well as refried beans. Other people in my party had pancakes, french toast, eggs, bacon, etc., all good. The kids loved the hot chocolate.
The owner came over and made sure everything was fine, and her son took our order and took good care of us. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place and plan to return when I'm in the area again.

“Fun lunch place full of locals.”
Reviewed December 10, 2011

From the outside, we thought this is a coffee house only, but there were so many cars in the parking lot at noon we decided to try it anyway. Sure glad we did. Lots of locals chatting and eating made it a fun atmosphere during our quick visit to Presidio. We shared a delicious pork chili verde burrito and nachos. Prompt service and good prices added to our positive feelings toward the Enlightened Bean.
