We had lunch at Pirate's Landing and what a great place to eat if you want a view. The atmosphere is Pirate motif and it is very well done. The food is really good and very reasonable. The view is the best part of it. From a window seat you look at the Lagoon, the causeway bridge and South Padre Island. If you visit Port Isabel stop by Pirate's Landing for food or a drink and enjoy the view!

We are from Santa Clara California, It was our first visit to the island and we were trying out new places so we gave Pirates landing a shot, We were seating at one of the windows, and just the view was enough to make our day better so tranquil, In comparison to California where everyone in a clear day gets their boat out and races all over the beach. Our dinner's were delicious, I will have to say, this is the first time ever that the waitress took the time to point out the drink specials which were the margaritas, since we were a party of 6 we had to order a seafood platter mix and match which was a great way to start our visit we pigged out on the seafood platter it was enough for all of us to taste fresh seafood right from the gulf then we order dinner. My dinner of choice was the Flounder Veracruz , the flavor of the fish was really good it was cooked to perfection, the fish was flaky and succulent, my son had a mouthwatering red snapper, the others in the party had scallops and fried shrimp, i got slapped a couple of times for swindling a scallop here a shrimp there, but, everyone raved of how good the food was. Service was excellent, not to fast, not to slow, very cheerful and friendly. This restaurant should be ranked higher on the Port Isabel and South padre Island restaurant list, i want to mention that management was also very attentive,I guess her name was Claudia, and Adan, I know that as soon as we get there we will visit you again Soon! thanks we enjoyed every bite of our food.

The food is just ok. You are paying more for the view and the setting than you are for the food. The blackened fish and shrimp could use some more flavor. Do not order the chicken fajitas. The beans are good, but the rest of the items that come with the plate need improvement. The chicken was grilled, but had the taste of the freezer.I was expecting fresh guacamole, no such luck. The service is great. The people are friendly and attentive and the place is clean.

The food and service was ok as was everything else about this restaurant. However, with so many options close by, no need to settle for just OK. The prices were not out of line for what it is.

In this area, fish is everywhere - and they have a LOT of fish here and my husband loves it! I'm not a fish eater, so they have Philly Cheese Steaks & Club Panini's too. Wish they had a few more non-fish items - but almost everything I've had there is really good! Very nice atmosphere & view of Laguna Madre & S. Padre Island! Cute for kids too with pirate hats, kids meals in "boats", etc. Prices tend to be towards the upper-moderate range, but decent.
