“Eco tour?”
Review of Dolphin Docks

We took our extened family on the Eco tour from Dolphin Docks. We should have read the website that says they drag a net across the bottom of the lagoon. They dump the critters they pull up into a plastic tub and then hand them out to visitors to hold and take pictures of. There was very limited Eco information from either of the employees.
We heard nothing about the abundance of sea birds and very limited information about the lives of the dolphins we saw.
The boat was an older shrimp boat that has been adapted. It was fine and had plenty of inside and outside seating. We had great views of the sea and the animals that we did see.
This tour was inexpensive and i guess we got what we paid for.

We did the Dolphin Watch/ Eco tour on the 70" boat named “Fish Tales”. This excursion was 90 minutes and very reasonably priced: $16. for adults and $13 for kids. About 20 minutes into the trip the crew drops a net and they drag it on the bottom for a while. Any sea creatures they find are placed into a large tank for the guests to examine up close. Kids love it. The net caught a few small rays and some starfish. The dolphins swim right up next to the boat and there are no shortage of them.
This charter uses the same boat for the dolphin tours and fishing tours, and they alternate them. To clarify, if the fishing tour is out, the next tour out will be the dolphin tour. After the dolphin tour gets back to land, another fishing trip goes out. The boat is cleaned after the fishermen are done. You wouldn’t even know this boat is used for fishing if I hadn’t seen the people getting off with their fishing gear. No fish residue, blood, smell or anything. Crew was very friendly. The boat wasn’t new, but it was very seaworthy and well maintained. Bring your own small ice chest (beer is ok but no bottles).
Lots of fun. Well worth the money

Got to see some dolphins on the way out to watch the sunset which was beautiful, and then anchored in the perfect spot for the fireworks display on Friday! It was great and the captain of the boat was perfectly accommodating- will absolutely return!

Went out on the 60 hour trip. Caught plenty of tuna first night. Second night fished for snapper and amberjack. Caught fish till my arms were tired. Food inboard was good. I will go again. This is the best outfit to fish with in my opinion as far as party boats go.
