The lunch buffet was very good and had great fried catfish. All of the food was very fresh including the salad bar area. Everything was homemade and was very delicious. It was nice and cool inside which was especially important on a hot summer day. The restaurant was very clean and the service was very good.

Beau Reve is the place to go for a great lunch buffet. Cajun style food and it's all really good. Catfish is so good, you want to go back for more but so is everything they serve there. Priced right for buffet style and nice atmosphere. Take your friends to lunch, it's worth finding the place.

How often can you say that about Port Arthur? Beau Reve gives you much reason to say it. Fresh tasty gulf based seafood and other southern comfort foods all prepared with plenty of flavor that would stand out anywhere along the coast. The Pontchartrain fillet was the tastiest version of this classic that I have had in some time. The twice baked potato had a unique presentation in that in came in a ramekin as opposed to its own skin. Fried okra had a light touch that let the flavor stand out and sweet potato mash was topped with a praline mixture that accented the flavor. The crab and corn chowder was creamy and crabby. The entire group had nothing but praise for all the items brought to the table. BYOB is in play here. Don't wait until you are in this quadrant of the Golden Triangle to buy your wine. Live music at dinner can be a dicey situation. Here it was a total winner. Acoustic guitar, good voice and an interesting set list make this an added feature to the dining experience.
