Description: Irie's Island Food is an extra casual, very small restaurant serving lunch only. Hours of operation are seasonal in this vacation town. We feature fresh handmade food prepared by the chef/owner who is a graduate of the Culinary institute of America. Creative tacos on house made tortillas, Hawaiian, Asian, American/tropical, and international cuisine is offered at our establishment. We also make New Orleans style beignets from scratch, roast our own coffee, and even have creme brulee to go!

This restaurant is the best. We went two days in a row wishing they were open for every meal. If you go to Corpus, you need to make the trip to Port Aransas to eat here. If you go to Port Aransas, then you need to eat here every lunch you can. The flour tortillas are the best you have ever had and will ever have. The only negative is that your stomach can only hold so much. Each time you go, you want to try everything, I mean everything. We stayed later on the island the next day, just to eat here. There are only four tables, so either get there when they open at 11am or plan on waiting. The owner and the service are friendly and great. GO!

Wow- they will make your food as if it's for their family. Excellent taste and different. Had the coconut curry shrimp taco. Fresh and long cut snow peas, sweet corn relish, and an amazing dragon sauce. The owners are their and want you leaving with a smile. We ate and certainly left, extremely satisfied.

great food! like torchy's taco island style! (austinites will get that) start with handmade chargrilled flour tortillas and add tasty toppings! yum! I had crazy taco - pork, shrimp, pineapple jam, avocado and dragon sauce - great combo of flavors. hubbie had green chile pork and like it as well. lobster crab cake taco not so much - too much breading his the tasty crab and lobster. several Hawaiian dishes as well as island inspired food. they handmake their own sweet buns for burgers and Sammie's too. tiny joint chock full of goodness! outside seating available or hover to catch one inside. only place we went that had fountain drinks. tacos $3-$5, plates around $8-$10, very reasonable for what u get.

The items on their menu are really interesting. I had the curried shrimp taco the other day and it was yum! They make their own tortillas which alone are worth the trip. Their online menu mentions a mango pudding, which I didn't see on their menu in store. The beignets were melt-in-your mouth. And I was hoping to try the chocolate mousse but they were out. (So get busy and make more, hello?)

The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is that I planned to go there for lunch today - Tuesday - and they're supposed to be open. Drove there in the rain and nobody home. They could at least send out a notice via Facebook.

A few different problems prevented us from opening yesterday. We are so sorry we weren't here for you! Please come by for a taco, sandwich, or dessert on us. Thanks for your business!

We have eaten here twice in 3 days in Port A & the only reason we didn't eat here yesterday was because they are closed on Mondays. Everything has been very fresh, delicious and the menu is very original. Love it! The tacos are out of this world good and the sauces unbelievably yummy. You have got to try this place. The staff are extremely friendly as well. I want to work my way through the menu! The homemade rolls for the sandwiches and the homemade soft taco shells are unbeatable! We took ours to the park to eat it which we like to do anyways. Prices are reasonable too.
