Breakfast-really great breakfast tacos. Even better when the cook doesn't "wrap" the cheese into the foil (taco aficionados know what I mean!). Beware, they get a hefty charge to "add" cheese.
Dinner-Try the taquitos. LOTS of food for a really great price: three (corn tortilla) tacos filled with carne asada topped with fresh cilantro (ask for some fresh chopped onion!), charro beans & rice with a large grilled jalepeno on top! YUM!
Queso-largely inconsistent --sometimes it's runny, sometimes a smooth & thick consistency, but definitely tasty!
Chips & salsa-their chips are a bit thicker and cornier than most, but they hold the salsa and queso very well.
Drinks: Ice cold longnecks and margaritas are the staple, but they do have a full bar. Try a "Corona-rita" (Corona bottle dumped into a Margarita) or "Dos-a-rita" (Dos Equis dumped into a Maragarita). Sounds weird, but they are actually quite tasty!
Best advice: Call ahead for to-go orders. Summer especially can get very busy (especially fishing tournament weekends).
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is the atmosphere. They are located in a strip center and the lights inside are very bright. I know they have tried removing some bulbs, but it still is way too bright! Also, the last time we ate inside, smoking was allowed on one half of the restaurant. It's just one big room, so you really are not doing the non-smokers any favor!
