We tried Virginia's because we wanted to eat at a place on the water. Our table didn't have much of a water view and the food was overpriced and mediocre.
Crab cakes were disappointing, mushy, not much flavor. Fried coconut shrimp were alrght, but the sides were pretty bland. Bill came to $150 for the six of us, the most expensive meal we had on the island.
La Playa and the Station St place across from La Playa were both much better seafood and somewhat less expensive. they aren't on the water, but my experience in Port A has been that most of the places on the water tend to coast on the fact that people will eat there for the view, so they don't have to put much effort into serving good or inventive food.

Food was solid. The wait was long but pleasant with a comfortable shaded area to wait. Our waiter, Victor has been there a while and was great with suggestions. He waived the autogratuity for our table of six.

The view of the harbor is very nice.

Won't return....had to sit inside. Food was not good and very overpriced. $29 for corn, potatoes, a few crab legs and shrimp. Son and daughter were going to share it. Glad my daughter got a bowl of clam chowder....which was way too creamy. Gumbo wasn't very good either.

Big, touristy place with no apparent management and something very odd going on in the kitchen.
We had a drink there one night while waiting for our table at the Pelican Club next door. The bartender was busy and kind of rude, but the big boiled shrimp tray a guy at the bar was eating looked good. So we went back on Sunday night and ordered it. $20.00. rubbery, terrible, but a lot of it. The gumbo was not good either. A waste of time and money.

We stopped at Virginia's for lunch and ordered the garlic fish special. It was delicious. Many area restaurants serve a garlic fish special and this is the best we have tasted. It was served with tasty grilled zucchini. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. If I recall correctly, the special was $7.99 and it was well worth the cost.
