This is a special place with very good food. It's small, and it's not fancy. However, it was worth our wait of about 30-40 minutes. Reservations are accepted, but we were unsure about when we would be there, so we were prepared to wait. The staff was very busy, but polite and attentive. There were a few "regulars" that came in and expected to be seated ahead of those already waiting, but the staff kept a first come-first served approach that didn't alienate others that might be coming for the first time. I appreciated this. I get a special sense of schadenfreude when pushy patrons are rebuffed when they pressure a place for special treatment, especially during a busy time.
The food was very good. Peel & eat shrimp perfectly cooked, dynamite REAL gumbo, mahi-mahi delicious, stuffed shrimp and even a great hamburger. Again, staff was crushed and still very friendly and attentive. Seating available for 40-50 max between inside and outside deck. If you are patient and don't need fancy surroundings, B&S is worth your time and money.
