“Good beach food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

Avery's is the kind of restaurant one expects at the beach - good fried oysters and shrimp, attentive service.

“good breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

there are a few places to have breakfast and this was within walking distance--will go back. The restaurant is on one of the main streets that helps to locate a place to eat.

“Great breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

We had a party of 5, very busy at breakfast time. We waited about 30 minutes for a table and was well worth the wait. We are planning on trying for dinner next, heard great things.

“Fabulous breakfast!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Ate here this morning before hitting the road out. Fabulous, fluffy shrimp omelet with mushrooms, grits that rivaled the best of any I had growing up in Georgia. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Husband's eggs ranchero was good too. No greasiness here..just creamy, yumminess!! Thanks for a great breakfast!!!

“A Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

This was our dinner stop on our first night in Port A, we are so glad we found it, because we ate ther two more evenings and stopped back to get dessert to go another evening. Good seafood, freshly prepared, very light breadings, not greasy. We really enjoyed the shrimp, grouper, catfish and oysters and if you are lucky enough you might get some of the best clam chowder around. We enjoyed the sides and especially the tangy coleslaw and make sure you leave room for dessert, great key lime and apple pies. The service is very friendly and prompt. We had seafood at another place in town it was okay but not to the same quality as Avery's. On our next visit to Port A, we will be back.
