This place is nothing fancy but it has a fabulous location with a boardwalk to an endless beach for walking, riding your bike, letting your dog run free. We stayed for a week and enjoyed it as a home base for Corpus Christi, Rockport, but Mustang Island is great and we didn't really want to leave. But onward to Galveston.

The park is very well maintained, bathrooms are clean, and rec hall offers lots of options. Boardwalk to the beach and dog park are great. No recycling except aluminum cans :-(. If you go when the park is not full then the wifi service is adequate but when the park is full, it is horrible. Had to go to Dairy Queen to get wifi.

Room Tip: I have stayed in many different sites over the last 8 years. The park is along a busy road and cars...

This resort has it all: proximity to the beach, a good shower set up, fine electricity/water/sewer hook ups and non RV cottages. However, the propane was not available on a very cold snap and the internet capacity did not meet the demands for the numbers of RVers in the park. It was slow and unusable and marginal during the wee hours of the morning. The $2.50/day charge for the TV was unique in the annals of RV-dom. Maybe, I'd go back when there are fewer RVs in the park.

Quick review-Just returned as a guest from a 4 night stay at this beach resort and rv park-the amenities, staff, maintenance, etc seem top notch. Private boardwalk to the beach.

WiFi connection was a bit iffy I think due to the weather.

Come prepared for the tiny sugar ants that seem to invade every crevice of an RV-we kept on top of it by spraying outside the rv and in, was ok after that!

Plan to return here in the future.

Like the title says, are you looking for full hook-ups, two pools, 66+ cable clear cable channels, everything clean and well kept?? This is it. Internet access is pretty good, they have 5 or 6 towers to connect. We've stayed here a couple of times before. We always have our golf cart as Pioneer has a boardwalk directly to the beach that will accommodate the largest golf carts. No ATVs, motorcycles, mopeds, scooters, etc. which makes it nice. No teenagers zooming around being disrespectful. Speed limit in the park is 5 mph. The park is monitored but not so much that you feel like they are spying on you. Very friendly management. There are quite a few full time residents, but there has never been a problem. The two pools are sparkling clear and stay open late, one until 11:00 p.m. and the larger pool open ALL NIGHT!! probably seasonal, but a big YES! as we've stayed in parks where the pools close at 8:00 p.m. even in the summer. Not here, and by the way the ocean was open 24 - 7 as well. See ya next summer!

Room Tip: We've stayed a few times, sites in the "West Bank" are off a road that is a more narro...

I will start this review by saying that I stayed 5 days here with a friend who had rented an RV space for the month of June, so I cannot comment on checking in, etc. since she was already in and set up by the time I arrived. This review is based solely as a guest of her RV. The grounds, pools, and bath house were all well-kept. I constantly saw personnel picking up trash and riding around generally monitoring things. I saw a nice dog park and there were several specific pet areas, so it seemed really pet-friendly. The pool was very crowded in the hot afternoons, and by about 6pm it was a good idea to get the little ones out because the adult party crowd did get a little rowdy. Definitely seemed like a golf cart was very useful to have to get around the resort as well as to get to the beach. The board walk was monitored on Saturdays to help one way golf cart and pedestrian traffic on the board walk coming and going to the beach. On weekend, they served meals, we had breakfast twice- delicious pancakes and bacon, which was very inexpensive. Everywhere that I encountered staff, they were friendly and helpful. It was pretty quiet at night, and during the day, most drivers were courteous and careful of the many kids biking, skateboarding, and playing in the street. The first couple of days we had no bug problems, but the last few the mosquitos were HORRIBLE - so bad in the morning and evening that we stayed inside. Sand fleas were a problem on the beach those days as well. The resort is just a couple miles from restaurants and shops, so it's conveniently located and right off the beach.

Room Tip: You might want to try to get a spot that does not get pounded with afternoon sun. There is no shade...
