“Good Wine Selection-Updated Fairly Often”
Reviewed June 13, 2012

I haven't had a bad meal or appetizer yet. Love the flights of wine and the consitent update of wines as the seasons change etc. Monday nights is complimentary pizza with wine and there are other specials throughout the week. If you are at the Shops at Legacy location, good people watching from the patio. If you are at the Allen location, nice patio off the park/canal area which often has live music in the park on Sunday evenings. Always a good choice to come here and consistent quality and outstanding service (at either location). Enjoy!

“Worth a stop”
Reviewed May 24, 2012

There are bars with wine and then there are wine bars and Cru is a wine bar worth stopping at and enjoying a moment.

It was myself and my daughter (she is a youngin' so she didn't drink but she ate) and we stopped in while wandering around the Plano location one that is on a strip with many other options. The outdoor seating was a big draw and while there were many restaurants with outdoor seating the wine was a draw.

We were promptly attended too and our waiter was very pleasant and even though were had plenty of questions he answered them with knowledge and patience.

They offered a variety of wine flights in both reds, whites, and a variety which was nice.

I settled on the Hot and Heavy flight of reds. Each wine was delightful and well paired. Belasco de Baquendon "Llama" '09, Lujan de Cuyo, Argentina, Brazin 'Old Vine' Zinfandel '09-Lodi CA, Reynolds/Renteria 'Naughty Ink' '05-Napa Valley CA

My daughter left it up to me to order her a bite since I said no the the chocolate fondue she wanted. Instead I opted for the Goat Cheese Beignet, with honey, lavender, and berry preserves.

She and I were both very happy with the choice. The beignet was plump and fluffy and filled with a delightful goat cheese. A nice drizzle of honey across them, could have used a little more lavender and the berry added just the right tones of fruit.

We topped it off with the Margherita Pizza whose crust is made in house and it shows. It was thin crust with a nice balance of cheese, sauce and nice sized pieces of torn basil that pulled all the flavors together. While eating my daughter mentioned how she loved the crust and have to agree.

As we sat outside the only time we went inside was for the bathroom, but the inside was a great atmosphere., A wall of wines of all varieties, with a small but cozy bar with a few tables and seats against the wall with an open kitchen behind the wall of wine. Its not open for casual gazing while seating in the main room but you can see the action if you want.

Its well worth a visit and they offer happy house specials with savings on bottles and flights so you can time it and save money as well.

“Great place to relax!”
Reviewed May 11, 2012

This is a great place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine after a day of shopping. We were seated outside and enjoyed the scenery of the shops on Bishop Road. The wine selection was good, and the food was excellent. I recommend this wine bar as a good place to visit!

“This is a very fun wine bar”
Reviewed April 3, 2012

I like the atmosphere and all of the wine choices. They are very accomodating for large or small groups. I've been here many times with a group of friends. They have a small food menu which is perfect for wine tasting. My girlfriends held my 50th birthday party here and it was a blast.
