The bar saved this "restaurant's" 3 star rating. Restaurant (dining area) is at best 1 1/2 stars.
1st visit- Sat at bar. Bartender was attentive, shrimp cocktail was excellent, and they served MGD! "I'm coming back to this place!!"
2nd visit- Brought wifey this time. Sat in restaurant. We waited 5 minutes for a server, 10 minutes for our drinks, another 20 minutes for our appetizers, etc... Horrible service in main dining room. Choice beef, but over-seasoned (worstischer sauce- like). Manager (overweight guy with a go-tee in a suit, you know the type! lol) never came into dining room to check on guests. However, he did have time to hang out with the cute hostess and a couple of servers for 10+ minutes at a time during our 1 1/2 hour "dining experience". Bar was packed with 30-60 year old "professionals" while a rather decent piano/singer guy played classic Billy Joel and wedding song favorites in the background.
This "restaurant's" forte is clearly it's bar and half priced appetizers/ drink specials. The current management is running it like a bar. However, in the meantime, the owner(s) are flippin the bill for clearly expensive pieces of beef and seafood from Sysco or whomever they get their products from.
Stay away from the restaurant side and enjoy their half priced appetizers (ie. only $8 for a high end, 10-12 count shrimp and tasty cocktail sauce) while they last on the bar side from 4-8 pm. I don't expect this place to be around for too much longer- so get there quick!
