Went with 2 co-workers for lunch. They offer an all-you-can eat of catfish, tilapia and popcorn shrimp. Well prepared, and they don't hesitate to bring you more if you want. They also offer a nice New England-style clam chowder. We had good service. The dining area is fairly basic, but then nothing more was necessary.

We revisited this fish house after many years. Food used to be mostly fried but now you can get almost anything baked or blackened. All four of us had some form of tilapia or redfish and all were very good. One started with gumbo which she enjoyed. We all had green or Greek salads and all were fresh and tasty. The Tilapia done three different ways were all tender and very tasty. Our waiter, Jay, was excellent and attentive. All in all it was a good experience and we will be back.

Just okay...nothing more. Food was very ordinary or average....not horrible but not great. Atmosphere also very basic. It was our first time there. We won't be back again. Prices a bit higher than some of the really good fish places we've been. Why pay more for less?

My spouse and I went to Fishmongers for lunch today. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired as this is a rather bland looking restaurant inside. We were first served a salad which was with vinaigrette however the greens were wilted and the vinaigrette was almost all oil. The salad was tasteless. Then came the entree which for me was fried oysters. They were fried just right although they were rather small. There was eight on the luncheon patter. With that came red beans and rice which was delicious. My Spouse had the fried catfish which I tasted and it too was excellent. She ordered the Mesquite Grilled veggies and two skewers came loaded with green bell peppers, onions and mushrooms. I ate most of the green peppers which were crisp and fresh and just grilled slightly. The onions were like excellant. I did not touch the mushrooms. All in all we have an excellent meal after a slow start with the salad. The service was slow as we noticed it was at most other tables.
