“mmmmmm! mmmmmm! mmmmmm!”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

We had heard nothing but raves from our friends that went to Pappadeaux so we tried it out on a weekday. We got there about one PM and it was packed. They took our name and we went to the bar to wait but it was full as well. Just as we had made one lap around the bar our paging device lit up and we were seated promptly. Table setting was clean and the Napkins and flatware really first class. George, Our waiter was very attentive and he promptly got us a cold draft beer so we could look at our Menus. Upon his return we explained that we were in no hurry and we wanted to have each course served separate and not all at once as is done in most local restaurants. He assured us that would be the case and he further explained that all the staff have to go through two weeks of training before the were allowed to be on the floor. Training worked as George was a delight and made the meal a special treat. We started with an order of steamed mussels and a right out of the oven baguette. Heaven On Earth!!! We then split an entree of Costa Rican Mahi Mahi with Sausage and Cajun grits with crabmeat. Heaven Re-visited!! It was my wifes birthday so she got a free dessert with a candle. She chosse the Creme Brule which was excellent.

We split the entree not because of the Cost but we don't like to waste food and take home leftovers usually end up in the trash. The portion was just right when they divided it on two plates. Next time we go we will probably get an additional pail of mussels as they were just so good. Oh la La!! Total Tab was just under $50.00 with Tip.(20%) Gotta Love It! Thanks George
we'll be Back and ask for you again!

“Wish we had one in Boston”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

This place does a great job replicating the New Orleans experience: terrific seafood (the etouffee was rich and spicy with just enough heat), generous portions, friendly and attentive service and just loud enough to remind you that this is a party. Wish these guys were in Boston.

My special needs daughter and I were on a motorcycle trip from Dallas through the Hill Country and on to Brownsville. This was our second day on the road. I wanted some good seafood, she did not care. I spotted Pappadeaux. Since we were not far from our reserved room for the night I turned around. This was an awesome meal. Finding the entrance was a bit tricky as it seemed as though we had to enter through the patio. The service and food was great. The price is what you'd expect with large servings. I marked it with $$$ because some people were dressed up but casual is fine. We were in our riding gear.
