We booked this hotel via Hotwire and despite using Hotwire to get a better price we were shocked at the rates commanded. That is until we realised how few hotels there are around here and the law of supply & demand means you will pay more. Saying that I do feel that the towels should be white - not battle ship grey through poor washing. It was quite disconcerting using a facecloth that was grub bier looking than rags I use for cleaning. This is a small observation and does not detract from the clean hotel , excellent breakfast, pleasant staff and well maintained establishment.

Stayed one night in February in a suite. Great stay - management was very attentive. I recommend this Holiday Inn. It is very clean, quiet and close to the Big Bend area. It's a great stopping point before traveling into Big Bend Park.

This hotel was nice and new. The rooms were large and very quiet and clean. The beds were comfortable and we liked that we had soft and firm pillows to choose from. We don't eat breakfast so we can't comment on that. It was a bit expensive, but as other travelers have noted, it is in the middle of nowhere and there is also a oil boom going on, so lots of demand for not very many rooms.

Traveling back from Arizona and stop at this hotel for the night, Accommodations very were very good nice big room comfortable beds and great breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We usually get a goody bag because we are priority club members but they were out but were offered bottled water and candy or cookies from their little store,

Room Tip: I have the Holiday Inn Express app on my phone which makes it so easy to book a room while traveling. Our room was at the very end of the hall and very quiet.

This is a great place to stay in on your way out of Texas. Right next to the interstate but no loud noise. I woke up and got LITERALLY right back on the road. Slept soundly. Breakfast was great. Be warned though, good lodging in this area is expensive. You ARE in the middle of nowhere.

Stayed: September 2013, traveled on business
