“Typical River-Town Motel”
Reviewed June 7, 2011

My first room had a clogged sink. I called to complain. The front desk was very nice and immediately moved me to another room.
The room appeared clean and smelled fresh.
The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were very flat.
When I walked on my barefeet, my feet turned black. That was very upsetting and gross.
The room was very dated and felt old. At least is was clean.
The lobby and breakfast area were clean and smelled okay.
The breakfast was simple. It was a buffet, so you could fill up if you wanted to.
The pool was simple. I did not go in it.

I would not stay here again, as there are other, newer motels in the area.

I did eat at Montana Mike's behind the Ramada. Very good burgers and excellent service!

I did the hidden price hotel were you pay then you find out what hotel you are staying in. With Hotwire I have always had a good experiance. I asked for a 3 star hotel and was given the Ramada. When arriving to the hotel people were yelling at each other in the parking lot. The manager was very friendly. He told us to pull around to the other side of the motel.....cause its not a hotel. Mostly drunk college kids running around. The room was decent for a hidden price but would have much rather paid full price for a nice hotel. Lots of stains, cracks, and moldy smell. The beds did have new mattress with mattress covers. Overall its an ok place to sleep for someone who is looking for a cheap night. The pictures from Ramada on here are touched up from what will be seen by you. Its more like a 1 or 2 star motel.

The only real complaint I have about this hotel is the cleanliness. There is no attention to detail. When I turned over my bed, there was pubic hair in it. Gross. Also, the business center was under equipped. No ink in the printer!

Dirty, old, ran down... had I been alone I would have left and gone elsewhere. However, I was with a team of 5 so I stuck it out but I will never return. If all the other hotels are full I'll sleep in the car. The food in the restaurant was also gross.

Arrived Wednesday evening for four nights. Room a little shabby and showing wear and tear but clean. Bed offered little support. Adjoining room had refrigerator and microwave--ours did not--for same price.
Pool is murky and after sitting on the balcony observing for a few minutes we learned why. Smoking guests were flicking cigarette ashes and butts in water when finished. Openly drinking in the pool while playing chicken with beer spilling in water.
Pool has one very small area for young children and toddlers but drunks seem to think it was more suitable as a hot tub sitting area.
Friday night a storm blew through area and lightning hit a transformer. Not their fault but bad situation only became worse because of staff. Power was out from about 10:00 to 3 a.m. Hot sticky night so everyone was sitting on balcony or dozing with door open. Several kids sneaked into pool to cool off. No big deal--they were splashing but stayng pretty quiet. My six year old was sound asleep until the manager walked out to pool area around 1 a.m. and began screaming and threatening to call 911. Her rant woke our sleeping kids.
Observed a drunk climb over the fence, drop his beer bottle and smash it before peeling to his underwear and jumping in the pool. Stepped on broken bottle gashing his foot when he got out. Friends wrapped it in a towel trying to stop the blood flow. Saturday morning there were bloody footprints around the pool gate, down the walkway to his room. Another stream of blood had dried in the gutters where it ran off the sidewalk. Was still there when we checked out Sunday morning.
The final straw was Saturday evening. We returned after being out all day and decided to sit by the pool (Away from the bloodstains).
My wife looked up on the balcony and saw someone use a key to enter our room and then quickly back out. We went up and found the desk clerk had rented them our room.
Going to the front desk the idiot told us we had checked out. My wife explained that we had reservations for four nights and would not be leaving until Sunday morning. He continued to argue for several minutes before finally "allowing" us to stay. So much for the customer is always right.
It will be difficult to ever trust another Holiday Inn after this experience. It is definitely not kid friendly.

I would recommend it to anyone who likes cleanliness. But, it is an old hotel, I was greeted by a stopped up toilet. Customer service was really good. The price I paid was not worth it. Their fitness center is broken, you have to drive 2 miles to get to a gym.
