We enjoyed the hospitality, warmth and delicious German fare at Alpine Haus on Boxing Day after Christmas this year. We had loads of family in from all over the country and everyone was pleased with the food and the service. The beer list is also one of the stars of the show!

We celebrated my wife's birthday this past Sunday at the Alpine Haus. The house is over 150 years old and well decorated. There were four of us and we all tried a different entree and no one was disappointed. The appetizers were fantastic. We got to meet the woman who owns the restaurant along with one of her sons. It was a delightful experience.

The people here are very nice and the beer is great, but the schnitzel is very dry and not a good meal to judge German food on. It's a cute place to go while in New Braunfels, but there is much better food to be had here.

Quaint historic house. Jacob was our very efficient waiter and he wore his alpine hat ! We were there for lunch. So We ate from the lunch menu: had a Reuben sandwich, a schnitzel sandwich, and a ham and asparagus wrap with a small bowl of this wonderful broccoli/cauliflower/carrots soup! The bread that was brought to the table was freshly made and excellent!! Would definitely recommend and will go back when visiting the area again!!!

Celebrated birthday at Alpine Haus with music from teen accordion player. The restaurant building is historic too. Our waiter knew the menu and made good recommendations on food, wine and beer. The schnitzel is a good choice and nothing was greasy. I don’t normally like potato salad, but this is the place to get German potatoe salad. Make a reservation since the restaurant is small and it was full at 6 pm.
