At first, when we arrived, we were told there were no spots available because we didn't have reservations. When the lady saw how disappointed we were, she went back and asked the chef/owner if they could squeeze us in, he said yes and they sat us down. Our server was quick and timely with our order and our food was delicious. Highly recommend the knackwurst, the zigeuner schnitzel, and the alpine delight!!!

This was our first visit to this delightful new restaurant in our hometown and it reminded us of places we ate in Bavaria. Restored old home in downtown New Braunfels convenient to nightlife. Quiet and cozy. We started with the warm brie and ham -excellent. All four of us had schnitzel (3 had veal and one had chicken) in one form or another and it was very good. Sides ranged from spatzle to red cabbage to home fried potatoes. Finished off with Alpine Delight (sort of chocolate pie) - tasty. The German biers were an excellent complement to the food. Our server, Tatiana, was very helpful. Great to have an excellent German restaurant in our community proud of its German heritage!

Like walking into a restaurant in Germany with staff dressed as such. Very friendly and the food was delicious. Extensive beer and wine selection. The veal cordon blue was so tender and the crust flavorful. Dessert was of course, the Black Forest cake and it was perfectly moist with homemade whip cream! You will not be disappointed. Five Stars!!!!!

What an excellent Experience! The atmosphere is old world antique German and great ambiance. Lovely family owned restaurant in the heart of NB. The food was wonderful just like you would find in the old country. Bacon & potato soup was fantastic! Old style and light! Sauerbraten was so soft and moist with huge dumplings! Jagerschnitzel was lightly breaded and mushrooms were fresh! Our server Tatianna was superb and wonderfully polite! It just doesn't get much better than this! To Chris and all the staff, vielen dank! You have a wonderful place. Highly recommend this restaurant for a special night out. Food, atmosphere, and service was top notch!

Outstanding just like the food I loved in Bavaria...this is not just another New Braunfels tourist restaraunt. If you want to eat where the locals do, then this is the place.

Best Schnitzel in Texas!

You will love the true quaint German atmosphere....love the potato salad and the house salad as well.
