“Cute place!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2013

The times I have been in town I have seen the mom at the Saturday farmer's market in town selling bakery goods (I believe her daughter's run the store). She's a hoot! Good food!! Keep up the great business!

“over-priced for the New Braunfels market...”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013

We've visited 2 Tarts a few times now, but I doubt we'll be visiting again. I know that the "shoppes" in New Braunfels try to project a classy image, which is wonderful...NB is a classy place. However, it is NOT the rich section of Houston or Dallas. It's New Braunfels, and most of the clientele will be working people such as ourselves. 2 Tarts Bakery simply charges too much for what is provided.

While the baked goods are very good (although they tend to sell things that have been in the case too long--at least one of the items had a refrigerator taste to it each time we visited), the prices are far too high for New Braunfels. The last time we visited, we got a lemon tart, a slice of cheesecake, and 2 coffees: Price? $19.50.

This is about 1/3 more than what similar items would cost in Alamo Heights, the ritzy area in San Antonio, let alone at the average neighborhood bakery, where one could get items just as good for about 1/2 the price.

For $19.50, we could have gotten a full meal at the upscale Seafood restaurant across the street.

Can't recommend 2 Tarts unless money is no object--and even then, check to see that what you order was made recently!

“Raspberry cheesecake to die for!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

Normally I am not a big cheesecake fan, but looking at that cheesecake in the case was just two tempting. You could see the fresh raspberries inside and a big dollop of raspberry whipped cream on top. It was a great choice-not a heavy cheesecake-very light in fact and very yummy flavor. The crust seemed to be a shortcake crust and it was delish. I didn't try anything else there but some of the other desserts looked good too. There were tables and chairs inside to eat the goodies you buy

“Sweet Treats for Every Occasion!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013

I love stopping by 2Tarts Bakery for a cookie, cupcake, or bread pudding to enjoy with a cup of coffee. They have all kinds of delicious pastries, as well as cakes for special occasions, and catering. I ordered a cake for my dad's 90th birthday party recently. April helped me choose the right size, and even made some suggestions on the decoration after I showed her the invitation and the theme. The finished product was delicious and SO cute! The bakery is located downtown, right off the main drag, a perfect spot for a break from shopping or sightseeing, to meet a friend, or to pick up some goodies for the office. It is family owned, and has a warm, inviting feel. Stop by soon - you won't be disappointed!
