“Don't swim at Canyon Lake Beach!”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

We drove over an hour to get here to hit the beach @ the lake. It's VERY DIRTY and full of mud, rocks and hooks from people fishing. We researched it first and it's nothing like what it said. There are no clear paths even to get to the lake from where you park, you have to walk through tall grass that is poky and full of trash from people not picking up. We were not happy at all.....what a waste of a Sunday :(

“Beautiful area”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

Our son lives in Canyon Lake and it is a beautiful part of the Texas Hill Country! Although we did not get to spend as much time exploring the area as we would like to we will be making a return trip very soon.

“Sight Seeing”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

Beautiful lake, and a great place to hike, chill and unwind. Really enjoyed the long walk along the dam, the just hanging by the side of the lake for awhile.

“Beautiful Surroundings and NICE people”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Beautiful lake, the core of engineers park behind the dam was really nice. Took the walking trail at the bottom of the dam (2nd parking lot) from main road. Very pretty and lots to see. River is nice and lots of small animals, birds and foilage all around. Seating every 50 yards or so.

“Gorgeous Lake!”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

Beautiful clear turquoise waters surrounded by the magnificent rolling terrain of the Texas Hill Country! Great parks, picnic areas and beaches. Fun for boating (there's always water) kayaking and swimming or just floating in a tube. My favorite place to spend a day!
