So lets start out with the things we liked about the place.1 )close proximity to Gruene.2)Bed and room were nice and clean 3 Breakfast was nice....
Now for the things we didnt like 1) Upon arrival we noticed that the flowers in the front were plastic. Kinda set the tone for the accomodations. Even some of the trees in landscaping in the back were fake. Also all flowers and plants inside were artifical. AND the Animal heads in the Game rooms were fake.Could be a positive as no animals were harmed in the decorating of this place 2) Also the complimentary wine served at 530 everyday was the cheapest swill known to man.We know enough about wine to tell that!We dont expect expensive wine, but please atleast care enough to offer a drinkable wine.3) Also this is a B&B, please atleast show you care by hiring people that seem to care about you staying there. On arrival a young girl was working there and the only thing she had to say was something negative about all the drunks in town! She also had no insight into the handful of places in the town I.E. Restaurants, shops etc...The other day there was an older woman there with the personality of a corpse. Not knock a corpse. Im sorry. 4) cheap fence around a non working jacuzzi. 5)Vending machine for snacks... Guess other B&B s weve been to should charge as well and not provide snacks free.5) AM coffee was instant .6 And my wife seemed to believe that the Gourmet breakfast was catered since the kitchen looked as though it was never used.Other B&B you see real people cooking and actually working....
So in conclusion, we believe the worst part of this was the impersonal service and what we perceive as "Penny Pinching Practices". We expect more of B&B and if you are looking for a place that goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome,This isnt the place. Hopefully the management will read this and make some changes, but we doubt it!
