I didn't know what to expect at the Microtel and was VERY pleasantly surprised! We checked-in in the early afternoon and Heather at the desk was very sweet and made our check-in super easy. We got to the room (bottom floor near the pool) and it was really cute and smelled fresh and clean. I sat down on the bed and immediately wanted to buy the pillows! We went down to the desk to ask about restaurants and again Heather was very helpful, giving us several suggestions. When we got back after seeing the town and having dinner we were greeted by another helpful front desk person (Jared, I believe) who gave us ideas of things to do the next day. Over all it was an excellent stay and I would definitely stay again and tell my friends and family!

The hotel was immaculate! Very clean and fresh. You could tell it has never been smoked in. Rooms where nice. I liked how they had a window seat built over the AC. It even had a thick mattress type pad over it where a small kid could lay down if necessary. That was also nice because it kept the AC from blowing the curtains open at night. Privacy was much easier. You didn't have to worry about trying to pin the curtains shut. Breakfast was very good. I loved the biscuits and gravy! The waffles where good to and in the shape of Texas. They of coarse had fruit and cereal, yogurt, juice, and the like as well.
I would of gave it a 5 star but the lady behind the counter had the personality of a robot. She didn't know how to smile or how to deal with the public. I think she was the one I called when I went to book the room over the phone as well. On the phone she acted like I was bothering her and tried to get rid of me fast! I would not have booked the hotel because of her treatment on the phone, but every hotel I called was full. Luckily, after her rude treatment on the phone, I decided to check the Microtel website. Glad I did, because the room was $30 cheaper a night! I decided to book it because of the cheaper rate I found plus the good reviews shown here on tripadvisor. When we got to the hotel we found her to be the only rude robot type, the rest of the staff was fine and the room was one of the cleanest and best we have had.
