This is so unique. They took the old post office and converted it into a great seafood restaurant. Everything I have ordered on the menu is good. The fish is fresh, the salads are crisp, the appetizers are yummy, and be sure to try the oysters on the shell. Good service and great atmosphere.

Not much of a bread person but McAdoo's rolls are amazing! And the chocolate bread pudding is the perfect ending. Everything in between was delicious, too!

Great food, not sure its worth the prices though, but the stuffed shrimp were delicous! Not enough food for the price!

We agree... prices are high, other than the lunch specials, but well worth it! We haven't had food this good since the last time we were in New Orleans and dining here is a lot less expensive than a trip to the Big Easy! :-) Plus, we are from the gulf coast and laughed that the food here is better than anything in our home town.

The last visit, we started with a Wedge that was excellent and grazed on to the pricy but outstanding Redfish Pontchartain which was superb! I had to add a side of Broccolini - wish I knew where they find this... it's like a rarity.

We finished with Key Lime Pie - excellent!

Our service was great - very attentive waitress this time and a super waiter the first visit.

The only snag we hit the last time we tried to dine here for lunch was they said it would be a 40 minute wait, even though we arrived at 11:45 and most of the tables were empty! She said we should have called ahead, so next time I'll try that. We decided not to wait and spent our lunch money somewhere else.

Otherwise, we love McAdoo's!

P.S. We learned that the whole menu is available for lunch if we want more than the smaller specials.

We eat here mainly during their Crawfish specials--husband & friends love the crawfish. Daughter & I split a fish entree--we each got exactly ONE piece of asparagus on our split plate. Really? It doesn't even make for a good presentation, much less meal!! The patio is very nice, but I find their food and service inconsistent, and mediocre food at times.
