Nothing better than floating this amazing river. Relaxing, exciting, one of my favorite places in Texas.

Packed up and spent a wonderful relaxing weekend in New Braunfels. Thoroughly enjoyed the river. Water was a bit cool, but with triple digit weather and the hot Texas sun it felt ever so wonderful. Bring plenty of sunscreen and be careful of those having a little too much fun with the alcohol. Saturday afternoon was EXTREMELY crowded, but if you're not in a hurry it's awesome just floating along relaxing and taking in the scenery. We stayed on the river and had dinner on the deck. Great weekend getaway, can't wait to do it again.

I love floating this river, the atmosphere is usually pretty good. The weekends during the summer are way too pack, dangerous even. Some fellow floaters are not considerate when floating often blarring their music too loud.

Load a cooler with some drinks, bring sunscreen and a hat and a trash bag to catch the empties. And don't forget your best lazy-summer-day attitude. Beautiful, cool river water, lovely homes along the riverbank to envy, and fun chutes.
Be sure to read up on container restrictions - they are enforced.
You can bring your tubes and hop in at Landa park, but make sure you arrange for a car at the other end! I recommend using one of the local outfitters - they'll supply everything you need and pick you up at the end of the float and take you back to your car - worth every penny.

When the other rivers are low, you can depend on a great float trip on this spring fed and beautiful Comal River. Whether you want to take a short 1-1/2 hour float, or a longer one, they will take good care of you and you are sure to have a great time!
