This is a nice place to do some scuba diving, especially at night.
The water temperature stays around 74 degrees and the vis is usually around 10 feet. Beware, during the summer months, the river gets loaded with tubers.

Went down the river on tubes. We were the only ones on the river. It met for a very relaxing day. We were able to see tmany different birds. Also it was fun just looking at all of the beautiful houses on the river.

Water was cold but very clear...and was clean due to the new can ban established for the first time.

I loved the Comal River because it was full of fun people to talk to while floating along. There were a few crowded areas though, which I did not care for. I found that the "bumpy" parts in the ride were easier to deal with on the Comal as opposed to the Guadalupe where they were extremely rough.

Dirty - too many beverage restrictions. Waste of time because too many floaters - way too crowded. The no cooler above certain size was not feasible with a large family crowd.
