“Keep coming back!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2012

I have eaten here probably 50 times and still keep going!! The food is absolutely amazing and the people complaining about chairs, atmosphere, price ect. obviously are never happy with anything!! My mom lives in houston and is very picky about food and is big on excellent gourmet food makes sure she eats here every time she is in town and she loves it!! The spinach goat cheese ravioli is to die for as well as the strawberry goat cheese salad and dont forget to get some bananas foster before you leave!! This is a very unique restaurant with outstanding food and super nice staff!!

“Great service, delicious food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2012

I had a pasta dish and my husband had steak. We both liked our meals very much. The service is very professional but warm. They need to remodel the restrooms. The food is quite expensive, but the atmosphere is more intimate than a place like Carraba's or Saltgrass.

“Not good”

They don't understand the concept of a reservation. Mushy steak. Bland fish. Overpriced. Not much else to say

“Good food, bad seating”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 8, 2012 via mobile

Went to Finch last night for our third time. They were having a special dinner of Lobster Thermidor that I have always wanted to try. After making reservations I checked out their menu online to find some nutritional info and an entree for my husband before we got there. (He is on a strict diet for his heart) There was none to be found so I emailed them the day before asking about a salad and the grilled chicken, never got a response. Got to the restaurant on time and was immediately seated. You have a choice of a wooden chair and a wooden banquette that runs along the wall, neither are cushioned or comfortable, so if you have a bad back-you're toast. Thankfully we were in and out in 45 minutes. Our server was friendly and extremely knowledgable about the menu and wines. We started with the braised rib egg rolls-outstanding. My husband got the sea bass and was good as well. The Lobster Thermidor that I was looking forward to trying had a really good flavor, but the lobster was very tough to chew. We then shared the chocolate mousse and it had strawberries in a sauce on top of the mousse with whipped cream on top. Was surprised that we liked the strawberries in sauce but there was too much of it before you got to the chocolate mousse. Everything came out really quickly, only had a slice or two of the French bread with herb butter they give you when you sit down. If they ever decide to put cushions on their seating, we would probably go more. Our server was quick to bring our check after dessert and quick to check out which was appreciated. Total cost for our meal and two iced teas was $100. There was a nice atmosphere and could be a little more romantic if the table next to yours wasn't a foot away, but it is a small space. Overall we had a nice time aside from the rock hard seating and tough lobster- it didn't spoil our night. Enjoy

“Atmosphere lacking”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

The four of us were looking forward to a quiet dinner, but instead we walked into a place where the music was so loud it was intrusive and it was not relaxing, dinner music. We requested the music to be turned down but it was left at the volume that we could not communicate with our party members. We requested the volume to be reduced again, but it never was. There was one other table besides ours. Wait staff was knowledgeable of the menu. We had a variety of selections to choose from.. Some of our food we received had been allowed to cool off. Other food was more about 'presentation' than taste. Price was high for the type of food served. We won't be returning.
