We bought the Pear Wine at Lavendar Hills Festival. Wow, what a treat. Sat on our patio with the chilled pear wine and wishing we had bought more

My husband and I drove to Weinhof to pick up a bottle of Wine for a friends Christmas gift, their favorite. The staff was very nice and they let us taste as many wines as we liked. We chose a few to bring home, not so much because I thought they were awesome but because the lady was so nice.

I can't say that I would buy from here again, not my kinda of wine but it was a pleasant stop and it will make my friend happy to get her favorite bottle of wine for Christmas.

Stopped by this winery after going to Winstar for a few hours. Muenster is a small german town just off interstate 35. Its in a small building on the main highway thru town. Winemaker was there to entertain and pour wine. Tastings are free, which is great, but after tasting some of his unusual blends you will want to buy a bottle. This is my second time to bring friends here and we had a great time visiting and sipping.

I must confess that I was a little apprehensive about tasting fruit wines, but with great wines being made in Texas, and Weinhof Winery being around for quite some time, I had to see what all the talk was about. The Winery is owned and run by Larry & Brenda Thompson, and Brenda brings to the table a heritage of wine making from her Family. I must confess that their blueberry wine is amazing. It's not syrupy, nor is it too sweet. Who would have known that blueberries make great wine? All of their wines are made from fruit grown in North Texas. No concentrates or syrups are ever used. Larry & Brenda are the the type of people you can get to know easily, and they love making wine and talking to guests. It is definatelty worth the drive from either Dallas or Fort Worth. If you keep an open mind to fruit wines, you will surely find a few bottles that you will have to carry home....
