We were very disappointed with this attraction. We did see quite a few birds at the first feeding station when we entered the park, but after that we saw 3 birds in total. It may have had something to do with the weather we’re experiencing this year, so I’ll give them the benefit of doubt, but we sure wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. We see more birds in our backyard at home. Most of the trails do not allow bicycles on them, so we had to stick to the paved roads. We weren’t aware we’d have to lock up our bikes and walk, so didn’t bring a chain or a lock for our bikes.

The Rio Grande Valley offers 7 or 8 world birding centers, each one unique. Pack some cold drinks, a bite to eat and spend the day watching the fascinating wildlife.

Went to see it late afternoon as part of south tx birding network.
Very small place. Manly water dowel species and artificial garden like design certainly not natural place but a garden with drip lines and large murky pond.
Skip it unless bored and have nothing else to do

Next to the butterfly center. Same review as that center. Many species of birds year-round. A bird watcher's paradise.

I have visited this Birding Center many times and have brought kids from my church here more than once. It is a wonderful place to encounter nature and wildlife, not just the multitude of birds that you can see.
