While I'm fully aware that the main business at the Bar is liquor sales, they do offer food. The hubby & I have been eating there around once a month for years and even though it's nothing special, it has always been edible in the past.
The meal we were served last week was truly disgusting. The dinner salad had previously been frozen so the greens were limp & transparent & completely inedible. We mentioned this to the server & watched her relay the message to the manager, who glanced our way, then went on to stand around watching people.
We ordered their Chicken Fried Chicken which we've always liked. Unfortunately, this particular night we had difficulty locating ANY chicken inside all the breading. The cream gravy was so thinned you could literally swim in it and the CANNED green beans we were served weren't even heated up. Seriously. The french fries were edible but nothing to write home about.
Now, the hubby & I know the owner, Scott, and I'm quite certain Scott would be horrified to know how bad the food was in his absence. I'm just glad we decided not to order steaks. At any rate, we've sworn off eating there again and I won't be giving any more parties there either.
Furthermore, the martinis were piled to the brim with ice cubes & not much liquid. I was impressed that they were able to balance the olives atop all that ice...
