Twice now, we have dined at Basin Burger House. The burgers were good. The waitress on both occasions did a nice job - two different waitresses. The big minus was, on both occasions, the hostess.
While on trip one we were nominally acknowledged - I suspect it was because she had to call our names since a wait list was needed that day. Totally unenthusiastic.
The second trip - I have to remain polite here - the hostess said not a single word to us, and just glared as she passed by. As we were the only people waiting to be seated, and she picked up 3 menus, we had to assume she meant to seat us. This she did with not one single word, a big scowl on her face (which she retained for the rest of the evening.) I know it was not us, as we were actually in pretty good moods, and our waitress seemed to enjoy our visit just fine.
We have read on restaurant reviews that this has been an experience not limited to our visit. C'mon BBH! Someone get reasonably professional here and find some other person to greet your guests. The food is not so outstanding as to survive such a "forget you" attitude.
