Very nice hotel. Nice room (although not a fan of 4-posters...they make the room too dark), very nice staff and excellent spa. Spa was clean, and a very relaxing place to hang out on a warm May Day. Would def stay again.

The place and grounds are fantastic. The rooms nice. The beds are comfortable and rooms have plenty of space. The brasserie is ok however the bar prices are a little steep. £18 for two gins. Breakfast was great. The spa area needs a refurb.
Would I return yes yes yes.

Rushton Hall is very impressive; a beautiful and harmonious building with a stunning flower filled quadrangle that is breathtaking. We enjoyed lingering in the public rooms enjoying the prints and paintings and exploring the fascinating history of the house and families who lived in it. House to hotel conversions can result in some very jarring and disappointing features - not so at Rushton Hall - everything seems to have been done in sympathy with the feel of the house and the spa is a lovely addition.

Breakfast was delicious - perfectly cooked and lots of choices. The kind and attentive service we received from all the staff made our stay 5 stars. We were travelling with older family members and the extra attention and help we received made them feel very welcome. This included making a change to the bed set up and also helping us choose places to visit locally that were suitable. Everyone we dealt with was friendly.

Knowing that Dickens had frequented the house was the icing on the cake! Highly recommended!

I wanted to book afternoon tea for nine ladies to celebrate a 70th birthday. Rushton Hall said they couldn't take booking for more than eight, we would have to hire a private room at an additional £100. Or, we could book two tables for tea, one for five and one for four. When I asked if the two tables could be next to each other, they said they couldn't guarantee it. When I said that this was a deal breaker for us, they said Ok, cancel the booking! They can afford to lose nine times £26 obviously!
This poor show follows a recent poor Spa day experience - disinterested welcome, small café with limited choice and indifferent quality of treatments. There are definitely better places than Rushton Hall
