We were recommended this restaurant by a couple we had met at the Coeur de Filet (read my other review) they had been earlier that week and were returning for a last night treat. Intrigued we made a special trip during the day to find it, have a coffee and suss it out. In daylight it was a beautiful place, the garden patio areas stunning in bloom with stralizia (birds of paradise)and we were impressed with the welcome and booked our table for the next evening.
We visited in February so it was dusk quite early and returning we found the whole place twinkling with fairy lights in the trees, on an evening everyone is seated inside and we were given a table quite close to the front, the importance of this became clear much later. Inside it looks magical, there is still greenery and twinkling lights , rose petals scattered on the tables a wonderful, busy atmosphere. Whilst every other restaurant we ate in that week was generally quiet for February this was full - you must book ahead! The place buzzed but the staff were excellent, attentive and the food sublime. We visit Tenerife every February half term and I can't believe it has taken us this long to find this place but we generally head towards the sea and this place is a walk up and out of the main drag but once you arrive you don't need to go anywhere else that evening.
The piano player plays his baby grand and later 'the chef' comes out to sing -and boy can he sing, there is a small dance floor and couples of all ages were getting up to twirl about, I won't spoil the surprise but this is not typical Tenerife entertainment, it is classy and just added to a tremendous experience, flowers are given to anyone who has said when booking that they have a special occasion to celebrate to bear this in mind!
Its fair to say that this is not a cheap night out but we didn't feel in the least overcharged - 3 of us ate 3 fabulous courses, drank lots of wine, coffee and liqueurs and were generally entertained for about 4 hours and it was a perfect last night splurge for about £65 a head.
If you only do it the once it's worth it - we will definitely return
