“A disappointing start , but swiftly rectified !”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

We were dropped off outside the hotel, were not taken to our studio , walked back and forth in the heat with our luggage until we found the studio in the back quarters, no view, tired and worn and dowdy. Straight back to reception where we complained . The manager very kindly sorted our problem immediately. We were then given exactly what we had requested, an upstairs apartment with a sunny balcony and a view of the pool . All sorted ! We had a separate bedroom, everything was spotless. The housekeeping services were good. Once settled , we had a wonderful holiday, felt absolutely safe and secure. Comfortable beds and no noise !! Close to the beach and very central to all amenities. I would stay there again, but make sure that I got what I requested in the first place. Thanks to the manager ,who was very apologetic and helpful.

Myself and a group of friends stayed here for a week in 2010. After being dropped off miles away from the hotel we tried our best to find it, only to give up and call in somewhere to ask for directions (and it was this hotel we ended up in asking for help!).
The hotel was basic and provided us with a bed to sleep in as all we were interested in was going out every night.
The beds were comfy enough and the pool we visited every day only had us there the whole week!
It was clean, we did not eat there so cannot comment on that.
Good location for Veronicas strip with some nice restaurant's nearby.
We'd all suggest getting a taxi back after dark as there are prostitutes on the streets around!

It's a good 2-stars hotel. The personal is very welcomed. The serious disadvantages are bad noise insulation and expensive wi-fi. One night I didn't sleep at all, I heard every word from a neighbors fight.

After reading some of the reviews online, i have just come back after a relaxing holiday from Paradero 1 there was no problems at all, you have a gated area where you need a card to enter and a key to get into your accom, there is a steep slop going down to the apartments but this was not a problem at all. You have many shops and restaurants close by, and a 8 min walk to the strip. The staff at the hotel are helpful and will also take your suitcases down to your room for you. they have a bar also here. when entering the room we saw a TV, fridge, toaster. cups etc. everyone is very friendly too. i cant wait to go back for longer.

I also was nervous about this holiday, but it was ok. We were there for 1 week April 19th to 26th.
We stayed at paradero 1. Appartment was big, twin beds and sofa, table and chairs, big bathroom and adequate kitchen with fridge. We also had a large balcony which got the sun all day.
Beds were changed twice while we were there and clean towels every other day.
The pool area is nice but no mattresses for hard plastic sunbeds and NO parasols.
Air con or at least a ceiling fan would be an improvement.
We didn't pay a huge amount for this holiday, so all in all we were satisfied.
You will always get noisy people on holiday, just enjoying themselves.
PS...We only saw 1 cockroach and it was outside!

Room Tip: Rooms in the 20's are good.

Coral-Hotels, Manager at Paradero Hotel, responded to this review, May 28, 2013
Dear Ann, Thank you very much for your comments about your staty at Paradero I. We are glad to hear that in generally speaking your stay with us was satisfactorily what installations is concerned. Obviously, having the category of 2 star, the property has no air conditioning, nor ceiling fan. However, we have always fans available for rent at our reception. As for mattresses and parasols at the pool area of Paradero I, there normally plenty of them. Perhaps you just should have informed the reception about it, and our staff would have provided you with both of these items. Cockroaches unfortunately are animals we have to live in Tenerife with them, being a warm place and next to the sea.. However, be assured that we do our best to keep them off by regular fumigation of the property. We hope to have you back again either at Paradero I or any of our other Coral Hotels properties, when you travel again to Tenerife. It would be a great pleasure for us. The Manager

I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews for this place, too, but I'm warning you not to believe the horror stories!
We (me and husband) have just got back from staying at the paradero I complex, where we had a spacious one bedroom twin apartment. Furniture was a little out dated and could do with modernising, but at the end of the day you aren't paying for a high class hotel so shouldn't expect it! We didn't have any meals at the hotel, breakfast was just great to have at our sunny balcony in the mornings. Kitchenet has equipments to make your own meals and tableware for three, just enough for us.
Staff were friendly enough and great at the bar. There was also some enterteinments at bar in the evenings.
The whole hotel as two pools, one in the main hotel itself, and one in the the paradero I complex, both with sun loungers for free of charge and warm enough water in the pool to swim. There is a road from the hotel leading straight down to the beach and it took about 5 minutes to get to the beach. The main busstation is also very near if you want to go to other cities and the Magma (Congress House) just up the road if you like to see a great musical called History. We did and enjoyed it a lot!
We are probably going back there later this year.

Had to move apartment as there was loads of noise from neighbouring apartments on the first night till past 4 in the morning, on the second night there was a party in the next apartment (consisting of about 10+ Spanish teenagers) till past 5 in the morning. At 6 in the morning some drunken pratt and his stupid mrs tried to get in our apartment when they realised they were wrong they buggered off only for his mates to try and get in a few minutes later.
The smell of drugs wafting over and the crap music made it so we couldn’t sit outside on the balcony. But it was fine as you could hear the music clearly and at a loud level when inside (much, much sarcasm).

Moved apartment (as they way it was going I would have ended up in a Spanish prison for murder) and it was quiet until the last night when 2 of what must have been the cast of Eastenders moved in to the apartment next to us – (arguing as soon as they got in).

When we asked to move apartment it was as if we should have known there would be noise till 5 in the morning - so silly us eh.

But if you want to look over your balcony and see a Spanish lad being hugged by 2 other lads then this might be for you. - Oh he was naked and playing with himself for the camera. - Certainly not my cup of tea.

The patio doors lock by putting a metal pole on the floor (however as the glass was about to fall out of the frame then this maybe of no use) and a bath that leaked all over the floor if you pulled the plug out.

I will stay in Tenerife again but I will spend a few extra quid to stay in a different part of the resort.

All in all if you are a scumbag then you will love it here.
