“Bringing the family together”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

The Marylanza is possibly the best hotel I've ever been in. Within the first few seconds of walking through the lobby door we were greeted with such a friendly reception. The staff are lovely and helpful, always at hand 24/7. The atmosphere of the hotel is fun and lively during the day, and at night it becomes relaxing and peaceful. This is without doubt the best family hotel I've ever stayed in!

The hotel includes:
- Many brilliant facilities for adults and children; the gym and spa i myself have been in
- A small computer/gaming area
- A restaurant, located over in the right corner beside the pools

Overall its a number one holiday! Worth the money.

Room Tip: second floor, room with a balcony view; you get the most sun.

We returned last night after a 14 day stay with Thomsons.
The hotel/staff/room/food and drink excelled our high expections.
The main impressive item was the pro customer attitude displayed by all the staff from the cleaners/bar/food and reception., their service was 5 star.
As mentioned by previous reviews, although buffet food, it was plentiful with many options available.
We saw the hotel manager and his family eat at least 4 times in the buffet restaurant amongst the hotel guests. The Kentia restaurent which can take around 20 people and where you can eat once a week at no extra charge was again excellent.
Location is next to golf club and it is an easy 15 min walk to the sea front.
Also it is very suitable for disabled people.
I estimate 50% of guests were from the Nordic region with young children, which was delightful. and mainly older couples from the UK made up the rest of the guests.
It was our 1st visit but we will return next Jan

Like other reviews, this resort is a fab choice, food was great, plenty of variety at all meals, staff are very friendly and helpful too. In a quiet area too, which suited us, we walked every day, especially after dinner. Try Kentia restaurant too, the food was superb there. Not too many families during our stay, a lot of couples which was nice as we wanted a relaxing break. We stayed in G118, right at the end, facing the road and the traffic wasn't noisy or a problem at all, and we had sun on our terrace until sunset each day.

Room Tip: G block, facing the road but sun all day which is great.

We stayed here for a week on a First Choice all inclusive holiday during January 2013. It was a great experience from check in to check out. We left a cold rainy Exeter at 8 and by 2 we were sitting in the sun having a great lunch, what could be better! The hotel is slightly away from the main tourist area and better for that, takes about 15 mins to walk through the shops to the seafront at Los Christianos, once there you can walk for miles on the level with shops, bars and restaurants on one side and the Atlantic on the other, we tended to walk as far as we could and then taxi back, never more tha 5e. Our suite was huge for the two of us, bedroom, bathroom with his and hers basins, and large lounge with balcony. There was a small well equipt kitchen if you want to self cater, but why would you when the food is so good! The choice at meal times is pretty staggering from safe 'British' food to the more adventurous, the quality is excellent above 4 star standard. The staff without exception were kind, friendly and really good at what they do. Everything was clean and tidy from our suite to the restaurant and pool area. We joined the spa and gym on a weeks membership, cost 80e for the two of us, great experience and value, the spa was amazing! It was a peaceful and quiet relaxing break in glorious sunshine. I guess the only small flaw was the gorgeous looking pool was not heated, it was just too cold for a long swim and just for the brave! There was a small heated pool, but not good for a swim. You will not be disappointed if you chose to stay here!

having been here in September 2012 I loved it so much I went back in December 2012. I yet again found it the most relaxing holiday I have been on.To me there is just something about the Hotel and the area that appeals to me.
Many thanks to Nicole for her help in making our holiday so good (dear manager she is a credit to your hotel)
We turned up at the Hotel ahead of the coach and as we checked in a member of staff at the bar saw us and came rushing over with our welcome drinks, impressive.
The food was superb, to have duck a l'orange for a lunchtime buffet was tremendous and there was always plenty of choice.
The rooms were again spotless as was the whole Hotel and there was low key entertainment in the lobby bar which was very good.
Without raving on about the Marylanza and all its great points, enough to say I will be back again soon, very soon.
Thanks to everyone at the hotel, I think all the staff there are very nice people and very helpful, yes folks I love it there!!

Room Tip: I have stayed twice in G block and never had a problem with noise, also most have a nice view

Overall a very good holiday, food could not be faulted. The quality and range were amazing. Each room is a suite, which consists of an open plan lounge with a sofa, put bed which acted like another sofa, TV with BBC, ITV1 and ITV2. No sky news. but it was ok with CNBC. Microwave, Coffee machine which you need ground coffee for. No Kettle, but we knew that from previous reviews so had our own holiday one. Cutlery, cups etc all provided. Maid service every day with fresh towels, not nice fluffy white ones I would expect from 4 stars but thin washed out ones. Also pillows were very lumpy so asked Reception for soft/smooth ones, which were still lumpy but not so lumpy! We were all inclusive with First Choice and it was amazing, even cava for breakfast. You have to request a golf view room and this is not guaranteed. If you definately want one you will have to pay extra for this before you leave. Rooms were laid out around the pool with area D being the golf side but you have to be on the 2nd floor to see the view, large bushes obstruct the view on 1st floor, you see not much at all of course. If you are a couple avoid at all costs D101 this is next to childrens play area and is horrendously noisy. We had friends in the C area above the disco and this was very noisy late evening with the Disco below. We spoke to people who were on the road side and the traffic was also very noisy, so 2nd floor D215 to D201 would have the best views, and be quiet. Spa was amazing and yes paying the 50 euros to use the facilities was excellent value for money. It says this is next to golf, we thought as it was next to golf course it would have easy access, not so, it takes 20-25 minutes round the streets to gain access, you need to get a taxi. Easy walk to Los Christianos and Vista Beach. Entertainment at night was good. So overall yes a nice hotel and great for families, just not for us as a group of 3 couples.

Room Tip: D215 to D201 for the golf views
