Me and my partner have just come back from staying at the compostela golf resort.
we arrived early afternoon after looking round our apartment it was a nice size and was clean with a balcony and a view over the pool.
We were very disapointed with the food i am wheat intolerant and so i had to live on rice and chips and salad, i cannot stand the site of chips now !!
The best dinner we had was the bbq which was lovely but most of the food was cold and the same every night,
We decided to eat out twice while we were there.
The pool was fine it wasn't very deep but its good if you have children it wasn't too busy so there were plenty of sunbeds.
The staff were very friendly and the bar served all the usual stuff as well as self service all day on water tea/coffee and juice.
the evening entertainment was quite good however watch out as most of the animal show are only there to make money the parrot man went around putting parrots on your shoulder to then take pictures but they wouldnt let you take your own.
The only probably we found staying in room 279 was as it was right above the kitchen and bar and you heard the staff dragging things about in the morning and evening and dont expect to sleep before 11/12 as this is when the bar closes and it can get quite noisy.
We werent overly happy with the hotel and what we payed as we have stayed in better hotels for less money and better food.

Room Tip: DO NOT HAVE ROOMS 279, 280,281 AND 282 as you will never sleep

Firstly the resort is nice weather was fine, there is some building work going on over the road but didnt hear any thing of this untill we went out the front of the hotel,

we stayed here for 10 days, with room 279 we were directly above the kitchen and dining room so every day about 6-6:30 the breakfast starts and the cleaners come out to sort the pool area,

in the evening you get a different type of entertainment for about 5 -10 mins eagle show, animal show, snake show bingo and quizzes, the bar stayes open untill 11 so if you have children you dont want this room we had numerous nights where we were kept up untill 12.30 - 1 ish with screaming and shouting there is 1 member of staff on every night and has no control of the situation, and on occasions we had people coming back at 5-6 in the morning and jumping in the pool and again causing noise,

all i would say if you get rooms 279-280-281-282 ask to change as you will not get alot of sleep!!!

Room Tip: dont have 279-280-281-282 none of the rooms have AC some have celing fans

Just back from two weeks at the Compostela Beach Golf with my partner and her dad. The complex is located ten minutes walk up from Playa las Vistas, about half way between Las Americas and Los Christianos. There's one hotel adjacent to it, but the surrounding area is mainly local council properties with a school, college, library and judicial centre nearby.

We had room 114 on the ground floor, with a terrace and small garden area facing into the complex (which gets some sun in the morning but not evening). The apartment was very spacious with one bedroom, a large living area (with extra bed and plenty storage), separate well-equipped kitchen and an enormous bathroom complete with bath, shower and bidet. The beds are firm but very comfortable (including the third bed in the living area), and again there's plenty storage in the large sliding wardrobe. You'll find a flat screen TV complete with (free) BBC1, BBC2 an ITV in addition to the usual news and local channels. The rooms look to be well maintained and clean, with a daily maid service except Wednesday and Sunday. Towels are changed if you leave them in the bath, so daily if you want.

The pool area is kept clean and well maintained. During our stay we never had an issue with sun beds, there was always plenty room for them around the pool and never felt crowded. It was early May however, so at busier times of the year this could be an issue. The pool itself was clean and certainly well used even though it was a tad chilly!

Now to the restaurant and bar. This is a small 3 star hotel and we didn't have high expectations of the all-inclusive service but we were very pleasantly surprised. The food preparation area is in open view, with the buffet service nicely laid out in front of it. The choice is excellent - OK, there's the usual chips served with every lunch and dinner, but there's also local fish, at least two or three choices of meat dishes, cold meats and salads, and a good variety of veg (including Canarian potatoes, a personal favourite). There are themed nights such as Italian, Asian, Spanish and international dishes, and sirloin steak was served on a couple of evenings. There was even a barbecue one evening that was delicious! Breakfast is very good, with full cooked choices available every day in addition to cold meats, fruit, cheeses and yoghurts. All-inclusive guests are well catered for, with meals or snacks available most times between 8am and 11pm - be warned, it's far too easy to eat too much!

The bar service is between 11am and 11pm, with a good selection of soft drinks, local spirits plus very nice draught beer and wine. There are a few all-inclusive cocktails and you can "upgrade" to more exotic varieties. Drinks are served in glasses for the bar and restaurant and plastic glasses for the pool or to take to your room.

All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Entertainment is limited which may bother some but quite suited us. Andreas is around most days with activities such as pool, darts and games in the swimming pool, and he usually provides a quiz in the evenings that can be quite a laugh.

We would certainly go back to the Compostela Beach Golf. We had a great two weeks in a friendly complex with everything you need on hand. It's a quiet area, but only a 10 or 15 minute walk into the centre of Las Americas or Los Christianos if you want some action.

Room Tip: Although I can't recall the numbering, I'd avoid rooms that face onto the road. In my opinion the best rooms are on the first floor of the rear blocks that have stunning views over the golf course with Mount Teide in the background

Just recently back from a week's holiday all inclusive and were very disappointed on arrival. The look of the front of the hotel was similar to a Blackpool B&B and our faces dropped. We rushed through to dinner whilst the restaurant was still open and were extremely disappointed with the range of food offered, this was the same for the whole week and we were so fed up with the choice that we paid outside of the hotel for dinner twice. We have stayed at a few 3 star hotels and this was no match for any of them. If you like chips then you are ok. The accommodation itself was very clean and we were happy once we saw our room. Lots of space and even a kitchen. Entertainment was dreadful, just animal shows every evening. Pool was clean and lots of sun beds around the pool.
