Before me and my partner went to Hacienda del sol we were both unsure if we had made the right choice due to other people's reviews on here. i was suprised that after a week there i didn't know what all the fuss was about....
On arrival we were greeted by the receptionist who wasn't very cheerful but wasn't awful either he seemed ok, we also got a safe which was 14 euros and 5 euro deposit.
On entering our room it looked a bit dated, definatley needs modernising but to be fair with the price we paid i didn't expect The Ritz, was livable. We had fridge, hob kettle (downside no toaster and no hairdryer). Cleaners vistited everyday even if it was just to tidy up.
During the day around the pool isn't to bad but in an afternoon at starts too get abit noisy (the drunks waking up i suppose). Alot of the people staying here are on stag or hen nights or 18-30's holidays so its what you expect.
On and evening it's quiet until around 4/5am when people are coming back from the clubs then it can get quite noisy people shouting at each other and we had a stag party in the rooms below us that didn't seem to know how a key worked and decided to the each other doors constantly.
All in all it's really not a bad place, not advisable for families or elderly but if your looking for a part or a good time you will have it here.

Room Tip: Don't forget to take your own hairdryer!!!

I arrived at this hotel 20th may within a couple of hours of being their I moved hotels. We was greeted with a rude receptionist who could hardly understand English so it was difficult trying to express myself. The room is very basic it Is not for couples as they only have single beds. The bathroom smells damp, the whole room atmosphere is not somewhere you want to spend a holiday in !! You definitely get what you paid for with this hotel. We moved to the green resort and suite was the best decision we made there was additional costs but worth every single pence. Thanks to this hotel we had the best holiday only 10min walk from beach and ideal if you want a fun and relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: More suitable for part goers based on the location.

This place is tired and dated, full of young people wanting to party, don't go here if u want a peaceful nights sleep or holiday. Most of the reviews I have read are true though we found it pretty clean, poolside loos stank and were not good, sheets spotless. No luxury here though its cheap and right near the strip so easy walk home, u get what u pay for on this case basic!

Room Tip: Avoid pool view if you want to try and get any sleep at night, though noise in corridors will wake you anyhow!

Just back from apartments, great if you want to party day and night, lots of stag and hen nights. Not the place for families as the young people staying here want to party, lots of drinking at the pool during the day accompanied by fowl language. The apartments are very dated and not the cleanest, towels are supposed to be changed every four days, bedding not changed and maid visited once in 5 nights. Can I just say that if your young want to live in central area and party then this is perfect as it is very cheap. Also DO NOT go here if you experience walking difficulties as it is very hilly and lots of steps.

Arrived here on the 29th April 2013, and stayed 10 nights. Our 1st impressions wernt good. It was unclean and very uncomfortable. We had noisy neighbours the whole time - and there is a door inbetween the rooms, so you can hear everything! The decor wasnt particulary awful, but the photos wernt even straight. The cleaners came in everyday except sunday, and stole a few bits of ours :/ The guy at reception was quite friendly, but didnt have any information about our transfers, so we didnt receive a card through the door like we were supposed to. There was no kettle, and very little to cook with, but we made do with what we had. The shower worked but the curtain wasnt very good at keeping the water in.

There was music playing by the pool all week, but wasnt particularly loud. They do sell drinks at the bar but theyre not the cheapest. They do give information about excursions and such too which is helpful, although i would shop around for the best prices - we saved a fortune by not paying the prices at the hotel. Some of the excursions are well worth going on too - I would recommend Loro Park!

The hotel is in an ideal spot for the strip, and theres plenty of supermarkets and restaurants close by. The beach is only 5 mins away too. Beware of the lucky lucky men!

We wouldnt stay here again, but we would visit Tenerife again

Room Tip: Dont stay, but if you have to, dont pick a room on the ground floor.
