“In Need of Refurbishment - Definately Not 4*”
Reviewed January 23, 2014

Situated on a steep hill equi distant between the San Euginio shopping centre (with its rather tacky bars) and the Puerto Colon Marina (more tacky bars and shops) the public areas of this aparthotel are in need of upgrading and refurbishment. Built approx 30 years ago the apartments the majority of which being available for short term lettings by predominently UK owners or via Hovima Hotels vary considerably in terms of furnishings /comfort levels from extremely basic to very comfortable. The best apartments are located to the rear on the highest levels offering sea views and less noise at night. Very much favoured by elderley couples on long stays in winter months but not for the infirm due to that hill! The large oval pool is not heated and is very cold albeit there is a much smaller heated pool. When sunbeds are unchained at 10am there is a scramble to secure a bed and to position it with arguments not unusual !

Room Tip: Rooms on highest levels are quieter those at the rear having seaviews towards the island of Gomera...

Another lovely relaxing winter break in the glorious Costa Adeje sunshine for a fabulous four weeks we normally just stay for two and were a little concerned that a month would be to long but it was actually brilliant we could have stayed even longer our apartment 010 Club Atlantis is on the ground floor very nice and well equipped with a washing machine which is great in minimizing the amount of clothes required to travel also the owners Helga and Anja have had Wi-Fi installed which is brilliant in any area of the apartment and patio it saves a trudge to reception to get a connection we spent many an hour out on the patio which borders the well maintained gardens soaking in the lovely rays of sun which are there through-out the day when not relaxing on the patio we spent many hours walking around the resort where you are spoiled for choice with a never ending supply of restaurants, bars with excellent entertainment and good quality food are we returning next year ? of course just arranged it with Helga (a lovely lady) for Xmas & New Year 2014/15 also having a month in spring this year we enjoy it so much.

Hotel was sold to as being in costa adeje, it is on the edge of las Americas. We arrived a little early, the receptionist told us there was a room but a better room would be ready in an hour! We took ourselves off to the pool bar for lunch for over an hour. We had paid extra for a room with a pool or garden view, the first room we were given had a view of the car park. We asked at reception the receptionist was quite rude, she gave us another key and said if we didn't like it to get our tour operator to move hotels. I explained we had paid extra for the view it was not a request, she insisted the hotel did not know although our voucher clearly stated this. I said would like to discuss this with a manager, I was told there was no manager available for 4 days. The room we took was a good size but quite dated. The cleaners were very good and friendly. There was a storm during our stay the reception was flooded and was treacherous to cross definitely in need of some maintenance. Wifi signal was poor - try the Irish Pub at the top of the hill, they also do a good English breakfast.

Location was ok halfway up a hill. We walked to Los Christianos in about 1 1/2 hours and to la Caleta in an hour. Plenty of restaurants around but not particularly good quality

Room Tip: As the receptionist suggested stay somewhere else

Stayed the week before Christmas.

Very quiet, lots of older couples, which suited us, as no problems with noise. Nice pool with plenty of beds. Location perfect for us, tucked away from the busy part of the beach, but only minutes walk away. Be certain you get a balcony overlooking the beach/pool for sun. This was the apartments saving grace... Great for sunsets and eating.

Reception staff not great. Did not even acknowledge us as we waited for service. Waited for us to interrupt them every single time! Wifi in lobby hardly worth the ridiculous waiting around for pages to load etc.... Plan on going elsewhere for this.

Had self catering apt, which was very dated, but spacious. Bathroom definitely needed re-doing... borderline gross, though staff did come in and clean every day, just ready for upgrading. Do follow the directions in bath re: towels. They will not give you clean towels otherwise (found this out the hard way). Also, cleaning staff don't work Sundays.

Recommend a separate bedroom. If you don't want the beds (yes, 2 singles) in the middle of the eating/cooking area, get the separate bedroom, where you will at least have the option of one large bed. We moved the singles out from the wall and pushed together each night, but stubbed many a toe, as this doesn't leave much room for passing to the bath, etc.. Due to a fixed unit on the wall between the 2 beds.

Overall, def not the touted 4 star stay, but adequate, quiet, and clean for the most part. Great location, as beach, restaurants, shops, and grocery all very near and walking distance. Staff need customer service training.

Just got back from a lovely 3 night stay at Club Atlantis.....Its a lovely place-very clean, quiet, lovely reception staff...(some are at least.) The only problem is that there is no food available. They advertise food in the reception area, but its not available there. You can buy a package for food, which is good value, but its at another hotel up the road.
Also, I requested a room with a pool or sea view-that's just my personal choice. I even e-mailed the hotel in advance and they said that they would do their best for me. I didn't get a sea view, or a pool view, but a car park view. Don't get me wrong, the room was adequate, but it was very dated and not what I was expecting. When I asked to change, the man at reception said its the best that they had.....quite forcefully. I apologised for daring to ask for help. The hotel was definitely not full - so I am sure that they could have changed my room. Maybe it was because I was a lone traveller only there for 3 nights.....who knows. In summary, the hotel is good, but does not warrant the 4 stars displayed at the front of the hotel. If I went again, I would try the La Pinta, which is part of the same chain just up the road. I went there to ask if I could print something off using the internet. The man on reception at the Atlantis just said NO! They were very obliging and helpful at La Pinta.

Was there as part of a big family trip, 9 people aged 1-65.
Reception staff seemingly in a chronic state of confusion.
Pool area has only private(!) umbrellas. No shade. Kids' poll freezing cold and only 30cm deep.
Extremely slippery marble floors, hardly any shelves in the room. Lots of bulky furniture.
Not suitable for kids.
Aicon didn't work in any of the rooms.
Very central location, but everything around is made of concrete for as far as you can see.
